Q: Is this "mseries" cable (as pictured) or "xp" cable (as it says in the description)? these are two different products (mseries is by far superior).

I purchased the 14 AWG cable and it is indeed MSERIES (M2000 in my case). The cable has worked out very well in my traditional receiver to speaker application.

Q: Is this cable suitable to run in a crawlspace under my house?

Monster M3000 is a heavily jacketed, 12 gauge, high performance speaker cable that can be used through walls and crawlspaces. It is somewhat pricey, but it's performance is exemplary!

Q: how does this Monster bulk cable compare to Audioquest X2 bulk 100' wire?

This cable is similar, but better than Monster "Original".

Q: Is the polarity marked on the cable jacket or not? Label on rolls says polarity is marked. Review says not. Very important to know.

Doesn’t specify polarity but there’s print on one of the two wires every foot or two that you can use as a reference. Other wire is not written on. Not the best idea but it does give you something to go by.
