Also kills skin mites and disolves grease.

Q: Is this soap good to use for clearing up/preventing tinea versicolor?

Try Selsun Blue shampoo. Slather it on the affected area and leave it on for 30 minutes or so, then rinse. Late response but may help somebody.

Q: Does this soap dry the skin out, making it rough & peel?

Not based on my experience. I love this soap. Use it every day.
