I was hesitant to buy these, but I decided to take a chance rather than buy new barstools. They were pretty easy to change out and work perfectly. I hope they hold up another 15 years.

I have a rattan dinette set that was over 30 yrs old. The rattan is still in pristine shape, but the bearings on the swivels had been shot for years. They would barely move and made all kinds of racket, lots of metal flakes coming out of them. I spotted these on Amazon and they were the exact same size, figured I'd take a chance on them. I swapped them out and they work great. They appear to be very well built and should last longer than the original swivels. The old swivels appeared to only have a few bearings spaced out around the track. These have bearings all the way around, loaded with a clear grease for lubrication. Highly recommended to breath new life into old chairs.

This is a great product that is sturdy, bit I wish I didn't have to add hardware. I wish it came with screws & a small tool. Other than that, great peoduct.

So the dog knocked over one of our counter stools, and suddenly we had ball bearings everywhere! The swivel had broken. I found this item on Amazon and ordered it. Removal of the old swivel was easy, and installation of this swivel was easy as well. The holes lined up perfectly. The swivel action seems a little stiffer than the other chairs, but that could be because it is still new and needs to be "exercised." When sitting in the chair and swiveling, however, it's perfectly fine. The swivel seems like a well-built item, and a good value for the price. Time will tell, but so far, so good!

This is the second time we bought this product. We had forgotten the product did not come with screws, wing nuts and washers that were required to attach the swivel to the chair. $ 30 later I walked out of the hardware store with what was required. Love the product.

used this product to replace a 25 year old swivel on a fishing boat seat. tried 3 other swivels but neither of them would align properly. this one did align after careful positioning . Replacing a boat sweet swivel in tight quarters will try your patience but this one worked. It is sturdy, swivels easily and makes my old boat seat work perfectly. As close to a universal swivel for its size and function than you can buy

Replaced the swivel base on my almost new $1300 Natuzzi chair - worked like a charm.

I have purchased 4 of these to replace the spring loaded swivels that came with the barstools. The problem with the spring loaded ones is that when you stand up the barstool recoils hitting you in the bum. The barstools being of lesser mass than the person tip over breaking itself, the floor, and/or rendering the family pet unconscious. These non-spring loaded swivels fix that problem. The ones I replaced had nuts welded to the back side so I did have to buy nuts compatible with the existing (hex) bolts. I got the ones with nylon inserts so that they would not come loose.Of the 4 swivels I bought only one is completely smooth in operation no matter how you sit on the barstool. The other three will make some grinding noise are are harder to turn especially if you are not sitting directly center on the barstool. I have inspected the all of the swivels and don't see any broken bearings but one did drop some greasy metallic residue under the chair like a broken bearing had been ground up and spit out. I would give these more stars if they were sturdier.
