Great way to keep your hands from touching the garbage can. It is so efficient when cooking with dirty hands and not having to touch the garbage can. It looks nice and is easy to clean off. We do run into problems where the lid will close on you when trying to clear off a plate. It does have a button you can press to keep the lid open until you press the "close" button. However, we are just so used to the sensor feature we forget about the buttons altogether. Otherwise, it is a great purchase for how much it is.

For the price and easy function worth it. Medium in size but for the price it’s a good bargain. Also easy to put together.

Trash can was received defective. Tried two different sets of batteries and still would not work. Went to return it and I had to pay 12 for a box to send it back. They should be reimbursing me for the box and the trash can as it was defective. Will not by for them again

Love it so far! So easy to use, the toddler loves making it open and close with the buttons.

I have had this for a few months. First of all, the sensors for the opening function are not like the videos you've seen. You must have a certain color, usually white works best, item over the sensor. Also, The item must be close to the sensor to open the lid. I bought this for my "Man Cave" room. I wanted to impress people. It does not. It is Whimpey. If you hover your hand over the sensors more than 1/2 inch away, it will not open. If you adjust the volume on your TV with a remote control, it will open with no one near the lid. If you press the "open" button, the one that is supposed to open the lid until you press the "CLOSE" button. That open button ignores you. Press it over and over. It will work, eventually. This trash can is like owning a cat. It does not obey you like a pet dog would. It is like a cat. It does what you ask when it wants to. And only if you feed it. The batteries I bought are rechargeable. It says it will work with a fully charged battery for 10,000 cycles? Really? Only if it wants to. And NEVER place anything on top of it. I give this a 3-star. It does open with the sensor. It does open and close with the buttons. The batteries do not last long. It is now my favorite thing that hates authority. I would not buy this thing. But I did. Harumph!!!
