Q: Does it fit hamilton beach 12 cup coffee maker?

I have Hamilton Beach type A108 and it fits perfectly.

Q: DOES IT FIT CUISINART 12 CUP? (CHW12)

I don't know. It fits my KRUPS 12 cup automatic coffee pot that I bought years ago. I don't know about Cuisinart.

yes, this filter does have a thin handle that can easily be removed.

Q: Do any of you who purchased this filter, have a lot of fine grounds in the bottom of the pot after brewing?

Never used it because it was too small -- inadequate. So I returned it immediately, unused. My guess is that the filter is so small (short) that if you make a full pot of coffee with lots of grounds in the filter, it's probably overflowing the top of the filter and carrying grounds down into the coffee pot. Just a guess. I don't know where I'm going to find the filter I need to replace, but I'm only going to buy it from a brick and mortar and I'll have my old filter in hand for comparison purposes. Good luck to you with getting a refund. You should be entitled to it!
