The Prince | Niccolò Machiavelli Paperback – February 21, 2021

Is it a take down of rulers? A warning for the people? Or just a playbook for those in charge? Whatever Machiavelli's true intent, "The Prince" is a fascinating read. It lays out the cold, strategic realities of power and leadership without picking sides. What’s really interesting is that Machiavelli never tells you how to feel about it, he just presents it, and it’s up to you to decide what to make of it.I highly recommend reading this book together with Robert Greene’s 48 Laws of Power and Montesquieu's "The Spirit of the Laws."

Really enjoyed this book coming from a history nerd. This book really helps you understand life as a whole a lot better and you can apply it to day to day occasions.

Good read. If you have not read many books starting out in your reading life journey build up first. This book is a slow read or a fast read. Meaning it’s so in depth based on perspective and conceptual thought taking in every concept will take a while. So just absorb what you can as you read. If you read it as a quick read you will pick up some concepts. And later on reread if you choose. Even when you reread again the perspectives and concepts are deep and 💡 bulb thought. I read the whole book in one week like 5 years ago. And learned a lot. I reread the book again 2023 and stopped because the concepts took to long to absorb how I wanted. Basically this book is how to carry yourself as a Prince or better said how princes carry themselves. How to handle people or even your business. It also teaches about the natural intent of people. Everyone is not your friend or wants you to succeed. Some people do want you to do good but not better than them. As the Bible says Matt 6:3-4 as I paraphrase do not let your right hand know what your left hand is doing. The book talks about how power is done to people and to control them.

Great version of a classic story that everyone should read. It may be somewhat sophisticated for the younger readers but anyone in high school and beyond should be able to read this and absorb it. Lots of lessons to be learned.
