Q: Is there a difference between blue & pink?

There is no difference that I am aware of. The stripe is on the backing and not the patch itself. Once the patch is in place over the sensor, the stripe is gone. One other thing to be aware of is that in addition to the backing that covers the adhesive, there is a clear protective cover on the other side of the patch as well, which must be removed after the patch is applied.

Q: what can I do to reduce the skin irritation? These would be great without the slight rash.

I had this issue when I first started using the Libre sensors but it has cleared up on its own. The best thing I can suggest is to apply the sensor in a slightly different spot on your arm each time so the skin that has been covered for two weeks has a chance to breathe and heal.
