Thank you for reaching out! For cleaning, we recommend hand-washing using a mild detergent or using a specific outdoor wash like NikWax. Please be sure to allow the bag to fully dry out as many of our bags have quite a lot of foam and want to make sure that all the moisture is released prior to use again. Please note that it is not recommended to clean in the washing machine as the high temps and over agitation can cause damage to the bag's structure and the weatherproof coatings.

Q: Is it waterproof? Is it likely to prevent water bottle leaks from getting contents wet?

Hi, thanks for reaching out! The bags are designed with a DWR waterproof coating on the outside of the material along with fully weatherproof zippers throughout. Meaning this bag will be extremely "weatherproof" but not fully "waterproof." You can definitely take them out in regular weather conditions, like rain and snow. Though would not suggest having it out in heavy, constant downpour for hours on end. In other words, they cannot be fully submerged under water.
