I bought 3 of these for my grandkids (8, 11 and 17) who thought they were awesome. But found my son, daughter-in-law and a friend (30s - 50s) playing with them. The friend headed to the Amazon store to buy some for her family.

We all love this little puzzle...adults and kids. I kept everyone engaged.

This is the BEST gift I have ever given my kids! They create, and shift the cube around anytime of the day or evening. They have total concentration while using the 'shifting box' always trying to see a new pattern. I highly recommend it for Special Needs children, as it is easy to use and fun to dream up new designs. While it is on the pricey side i feel it has been worth it due to the hours of shifting, creating, and enjoying. Very happy with this purchase!

This was purchased as a gift for a child who loves fidget cubes. She found these far superior to the standard cubes with only a handful of configurations. The magnets hold well but are still easily separated to move the cube into various designs.I think the art looks better on the site than how the cube looks in person. I feel the artwork could have more detail and perhaps flow together better when assembled in completed positions. Tweens and adults who used these had difficulty even trying to determine which image they were looking at when working toward certain shapes.All said, they were still a hit based on the many configuration possibilities alone.

This little thing is super fun and was a great gift for my son. Opens from the cube into multiple connected pieces that snap into place with internal magnets. Would be best for a kid who likes to spend time solving things (like those who enjoy Rubik’sCubes) or for one who needs to fidget with something in his/her hands. It is nowhere near as complex as a Rubik’s however, and one can have fun with it right out of the box without learning any complicated algorithms. I would say better for older children and adults as although I found it surprisingly durable it could certainly be broken or ripped apart by someone trying to force it to move in a way it’s not meant to move. My 7 year old daughter can play with it without breaking it, but the 10 year old really enjoys it. We found that they are most fun when you have multiple of these (4 is honestly best) as then you can combine them to make even bigger, more complex shapes.

We bought this as a gift for one of our family friends (a 22 year-old). He loves gadgets and immediately started fiddling with the Shashibo! He was fascinated about how many different shapes it could make and how tricky it was to get to certain patterns.It feels like a plastic coated cardboard, but has held up well to multiple uses and being dropped and tossed around a little. I think he will keep it on his desk at work as a fidget toy and conversation piece. There are so many different designs that it makes it tough to decide which one to get.It is a little expensive for the size and material, but very unique and glad that we got it. I recommend.
