Q: What's the maximum height it goes to please?

I don’t know I found it too stiff to adjust.

Q: Will it manage to hold an iPhone 8+ ?

Yes I’ve got the 11 pro max and it copes easily with that weight. It’s incredibly sturdy.

Q: Can you use this for a camera

I’m not sure, but i think it depends on the camera’s weight. My husband told me he once used it to hold an energy drink, and it’s alright😀. Why not try it, if it doesn’t work, then u can send it back👍

Q: Does it loosen easily?

Yes it does loosen easily. The surface connection part is good, but the flexible part is very stiff it needs to be on a very secure solid base and two hands to adjust it. The phone holding clamp part is very good. To be honest I took the clamp bit off and added it to an angle poise type stand and use it that way.
