Just like I remember from when I bought at their bakery near Fisherman's Wharf
Arrived very soon after shipping (Am on east coast so expected longer...only expedited shipping is available which makes sense). This bread was awesome...I have fond memories from the early 1980's walking across San Francisco or taking street car to Fisherman's Wharf... not sure if the Boudin bakery is still there but I would buy a baguette every time and ate most of it before getting back to Berkeley. They must bake it specially for shipping as it requires only short time in oven to get the same wonderful crispy crust. I use leftovers for toast that is yummy. The loaves are huge (got the 2 long loaves) so cut each in half and froze remaining pieces for later use per their instructions. I always loved Boudin better than the other brand that you could buy in SF airport and other places. Brought loaves back home to my mom every time I made the trip back east and my family loved it...this is just as good as I remembered. Wasn't sure it would be as fresh buying via mail but it is! Pricey but well worth it.

Wonderful bread!!!
Oh my goodness! This is the best sourdough bread you will ever taste, it got here a week early as fresh as it can be. Even though the shipping was extra, it is so worth it if you’d like real sourdough bread, this is the one to buy.

San Francisco boudin sourdough bakery
I was so disappointed I heard so much about this bakery in a documentary and it had hardly any sourdough flavor if I didn’t tell you it was sourdough you would think it’ just bread and very dry no flavor like it was frozen for a long time ! They need to taste there probably for consistency!
