There is minimal assembly after delivery. I would say that it took me less than 10 minutes to "put it together". My basic response is that it is delivered assemble.

Q: Will it fit in a car trunk when folded? I have a small Chevy Spark

I am not familiar with the Chevy and I could not find the specific dimensions of the trunk but I would say, it probably would fit with the rear seat folded. Or it might fit in the back seat on its side. I most likely would not fit any other way.

Q: can you sit on seat and push yourself around ?

I did after I hurt my knee. I put the handles at the lowest setting so I could hold on while seated and pushed myself around. It took the weight off my bad knee. I found sitting and rolling backwards was easiest. I just use my feet to push myself along while seated. I could go quickly in the kitchen. It worked on low pile carpet too. I didn’t use the brakes though. For me, it worked well sitting on it and moving along backwards. To go forward while sitting might have been too much strain on my knee. Disclaimer: I’m not recommending anyone else do this as it’s not built for sitting on and moving yourself around. It could be dangerous, you could be injured or you could break the rollator. Wheelchairs are made for that. However, it worked great for me and helped my knee heal. Just check the size of your doorways to make sure it fits through them.

Q: Does it lock in position

Yes . The brakes are on the handles. It will not lock until you push the underneath handle to lock the two wheels. I love mine.
