Aquatic Life Color-Changing DI Resin Refill Bags with Refillable 10” Water Filter Cartridge for Reverse Osmosis Deionization RODI System Units

I've used the pre-filled cartridges and refilled a couple. The refilled cartridges seem to last much longer, I suspect the pre-filled cartridges just don't have as much resin in them. Do yourself a favor, and refill these. I'm very satisfied with the purchase.

My intent in getting this was to create a DYI DI rinse for washing our vehicles using a standard whole-house 10" filter housing I already had. I used city water, not through the water softener, the standard 10 x 2.5 cartridge holder with a ground stand, and a relatively low flow volume. I did not, however, use a flow limiting device nor measure the actual flow rate.There were definitely fewer water spots than with the water not going through this, but there were still some.It could be that the flow rate out of the nozzle was too high, even though I did try to limit it.With the rinse of one small car, there was no color change in the resin at all.I did find it interesting that in doing some more searching on Amazon, I found that Aquaticlife offers a Deionized Spot-Free Car Rinse Unit https://www.amazon.com/Aquatic-Life-Deionized-Spot-Free-Rinse/dp/B07H8MQTMD that incorporates a filter holder that uses two cartridges along with a flow restrictor. I would imaging that would provide better results than I got.I also did a test using a piece of painted brown flashing. I have included a photo. I washed the entire test piece with soap and a car wash mitt, then rinsed the entire test piece with regular tap water, then rinsed the left half with the DI water. I then lay the flashing down on the concrete in full sun and allowed it to dry.

Put filled cartridge in air,water,ice rodi unit and got same tds in and out. Cartridge seems to fit good. I noticed the holes on the screw on cap are half the size of original cartridge. Dumped resin in old cartridge and instantly back to zero tds! Cartridge faulty or something.

This product does not work,( stick with bulk reef supply) I changed out my cartridge and still had a reading of 18 even after letting it run for an hour or so, so I figured it was time to change my RO membrane, which I did and it didn’t change the reading, so I dumped out the resins and filled it with a second bag that came with it, and it was the same reading it went from 22 down to 8 after I ran it for an hour, this is still unacceptable, and yes it was checked on 3 different tds meters! So luckily my friend had some extra resin from BRS and guess what! Right down to zero!!!!

Does not come with the housing so it must be bought separately

Does not last beyond 2 rince cycles. Upon removing the housing to replace the resin after the 2 washes I noticed a crack down the side of the cartridge. Didn't notice it during install only was until I removed it and it had water coming out through the crack.

This is the absolute worst product that I've bought on Amazon for my aquarium. The first TDS reading started @ 5, and rose to 12 30 minutes later!! Both bags that I bought were a TDS nightmare!!
