Definitive Technology BP9020 High Power Bipolar Tower Speaker with Integrated 8" Subwoofer - Each (Black)

I bought a pair of BP-9020 tower speakers. They are outstanding. I listen to a lot of Beatles, Beach Boys and Eagles music. I wanted speakers that reproduce vocals clearly. These speakers really do the job. I can listen to Dean Martin or Patsy Cline and their voices are crystal clear. The speakers sound best playing Herb Alpert & the Tijuana Brass - it sounds like a live performance in my living room. I did not buy these speakers for the powered sub-woofers. After listening to these speakers I appreciate just how good they really are. Great tower speakers.

Definitive Technology makes loads of quality speakers. I bought a pair of the 9020's for $500 (delivered). At that price they are a steal. Exceptionally transparent sound mixed with a wide sound field due to the rear firing 4.5" mid-range. The built in powered subwoofer puts out loads of quality bass down to the 30hz range which is plenty to fill up a mid-sized room with plenty of clear lower end sound. (think dinosaurs tromping through your living room). I know these 9000 series are a 'previous generation' product (that's why the huge discount), but they are first rate speakers. Just buy 'em!

The media could not be loaded. Low end?? Lookout folks. The BP 9020 delivers with its built in 8” powered subwoofer. I’ve never owned a stereo system speaker that has a 110v cord and plug as well as low voltage speaker wire inputs. What a great design. Shipped in double boxes, well protected with styro blocks and cloth covers. Just open the box upside down, mount the aluminum foot support assembly and you’re ready to go. Fabulous, quality product.

Nice speakers bought to replace existing DT speakers. These have a woofer in the base that fires to the side but doesn’t seem to go very low. Also when I buy two for stereo right and left, both speakers woofers aim same direction. I would have thought they would have corresponding direction.

I'm pretty sure I went to BestBuy several years back and saw these speakers for around $600-700 ea. Now, they are a steal for $250. I never thought I'd be able to afford a pair of Definitive Tech tower speakers! They look and sound great! Even the packaging that they come in is next level and fancy.... buy and you will see what I'm talking about.

It’s a risk buying speakers you haven’t heard, so i had to do my due diligence, trust my gut, and more importantly trust Def Tech. I bought these to replace my SM55 bookshelves set them up with a Marantz 6014 in a 7.1.2 Atmos system. I paired these BP9020’s with a CLR2002 center and they make a fantastic trio. The sound is spot on, clear & precise. The bass can be adjusted from minimal to nearly too much (I’m a big bass guy, I admit to setting it too high) without affecting the sound quality. All in all, I love these speakers and don’t have a complaint. They are fairly expensive and one can find the same quality for a bit less, but in my opinion you’re likely to lose some aesthetic in doing so. Additionally, these allow for the A90 Atmos add on speakers; those run for $500. While convenient, I likely won’t go that route because of that price point.

I saved up and purchased the pair of speakers, I've heard nothing but good things and have 2 friends that actually have them and love. Not my case I had these for 2 months and they went out. Apon reaching out to the manufacturer these were somewhat helpful and said we ll send out the replacement part it's easy to change out. Not the case! You have to remove the felt and subwoofer. That felt will never look right after that. And the circuit boards they sent out are completely out of my expertise. Long story short I'm screwed. These are expensive speakers for me now I'm stuck with wires everywhere and now music. DO NOT BUY !

I have been a Def Tech fan for years. I bought 2 Protower 400 20 years ago. After all these years the drivers of one the towers damaged. After a researching the Def Tech towers, I decided to buy this BP9020 to replace the broken ProTower 400. I just can say it was the best decision I had ever made. The timbre is the same and it sounds so good as the other remaining ProTower 400 tower. It sounds great on both applications Home Theater and music as well. Thanks to Amazon they have the best price for this new floor standing powered sub Tower. I combined it with my Onkyo NR-TX656 and adjusted the Db levels manually using an sound meter app in my smartphone. Highly recommended!
