Q: Are the gloves supposed to be hard in the package when you receive them?

Yes they get soft when they are wet

Q: Are these machine washable?

I am not sure if you are suppose to but I put mines in the washer and dryer all the time and there is no noticeable change.

Q: I used a charcoal moisturizing body scrub with these gloves, I've washed them in soapy water but still black & greasy. How can I clean this off?

Moisturizing soap residue stays on them. I’ve decided to only use these gloves once, then discard. Hope this helps.
