Great Suit!
This is a sturdy suit and goes on easily. I am 150lbs, 5'2" tall. I wear an XL.This was the second Bee Suit I purchased. The first one failed after 2 uses with the zippered hood. The fabric is a heavy-weight cotton and protects from stings. The headwear is easy to use without issues of vision impairment. I haven't washed it yet, but I can wash the suit, not the hat. That's important for me as I move bees to happy homes. I am not a beekeeper.

This is the best quality suit I have ever owned
Well designed, from the thumb straps to hold the sleeves inside your gloves to the well placed pockets, to the Velcro patch/cover where the zippers end to keep out determined bees. This is the best quality suit I have ever owned.I had a particular aggressive hive I had worked with and they found all the openings in my last outfit and managed to have me stop working them due to the amount of bees getting past my equipment and stinging me. I bought this suit to prevent that. This suit is almost bullet proof. I was a little nervous working for the first time in this suit with that particularly aggressive hive, but after the first 10 min I was completely relaxed because no bees were getting through. The quality of the materials is top notch, the sewing/stitching is equally top notch. I'm 6' 3" tall and 230 lbs and the XXXL fits perfect with blue jeans and a long sleeved shirt underneath. The suit comes in a cloth Humble Bee zippered storage bag, nice added touch.I would recommend this suit to anyone who would like to enjoy their bees and not be concerned about getting a dozen aggressive and determined bees inside your vail. This is a commercial grade quality suit.I will buy again from this company, but that will not be for a while due to the high quality of materials and craftsmanship they use. This suit is going to last a while.Thank you Humble Bee for the quality product you make, the attention to detail is evident in your product.

Excellent
Great suit, very comfortable, well fitting, and thick enough to keep my most aggressive bees out without being too hot.

Sizes Not Correct for Americans - WATCH OUT.
I've had to buy several types of Bee-suits from different vendors. None of the sizes were correct. I'm 5 ft, 10 inches and 176 pounds, so not too tall and not overweight as such. So I first bought a Large . . . proved not to be large, so I gave it to my teenage daughter and bought an XL. Better but not big enoughI! So I finally decided to buy an expensive one from HumbleBee, and to buy an XXL one. I was afraid of overkill, but believe it or not - I normally wear medium clothes, but this XXL one just fit. If I bend over it grabs the crouch uncomfortably. It seems I really need an XXXL one for a medium sized body!!!! I figure it must be made in "China" where people are short and stalky - so a Chinese XXXL one is really a medium. It's disappointing, but I'll keep it since it's too much work sending it back . . . and they don't have a larger one.One other disappointment as well is that the Cover for the head has netting all around. I prefer netting at the front only - with the back covered with canvas so the bees never have a chance to sting (I deal with the African Bee- very aggressive). The netting is flimsy and folds easily, very easily, and so it touches your back neck. I guess I'll now have to stitch on a canvas in that section, or to use cardboard at the back of my neck.

Suit may be sufficient protection against yellowjackets with extra clothing underneath--cheaper than emergency room visit
. Mfr says this suit is not rated for wasps as they have longer stingers than bees. I used it for yellowjackets but decided to err on the side of caution and wore bulky fleece underneath. I don't know if any yellowjackets tried to sting me (nighttime use only, puffing insecticide into entry hole) but think the combination of the outer protective shell (first carefully inspecting for holes and making sure all zippers and tabs are properly closed and fastened) and the bulky clothing would have been more than enough to stop yellow jacket penetration and stings. Mesh veil did not touch face so no sting through danger there. Price of suit much less than cost of an emergency room visit! Sizing--suggest going several sizes larger than seller's size chart shows. Am 6' 1" and 230 pounds so chose XXXL size which allowed me to wear extra protective clothing underneath suit. Enough room inside head section to wear red beam headlamp; veil did not block the light. The suit itself is high quality with brass zippers and nice detail. Mates nicely with Humble Bee gloves. Chose this model rather than a more expensive Humble Bee offering because the only apparent difference was better ventilation; I only needed to have a suit on for short periods at night so ventilation was not an important issue.

Buy from Humble Bee
Humble Bee (HB) was a wonderful company to deal with. My HB bee suit less than a year old had a zipper problem, so I called HB hoping to get a new zipper, but knowing it would be difficult to sew it in right. Rather than just a new zipper, HB sent an entire new suit. Aubrey from HB who communicated with me via email sent extremely prompt responses that were easy to understand, cheerful, and helpful. She answered all my questions to the fullest. HB's bee suits have been resized from a year ago and are now bigger and fit great. The new suit has metal zippers with smaller teeth that seem much better than the previous plastic teeth. There is a loop on the back of the suit so that it can be hung- great new feature! The replacement bee suit arrived 4 days before the promised date. Also, HB donates 10% of their earnings to charity- a nice perk in addition to all of the above. I have no question who I will deal with next time we need clothing for our apiary. Thank you Aubrey and Humble Bee!!
