Prestan AED trainers of all varieties include a few fantastic features not found on all brands.

When comparing the Prestan UltraTrainer and Professional trainers there are a few things that stand out on
the UltraTrainer, not only against the Professional trainer, but to all other trainers on the market. One is its ability to
enable/disable the metronome, which is sure to please many instructors. Another unique feature is it’s dual-use
adult/pediatric pads that are used on all patients. Instead of pad changes, students use the pediatric patient button on the trainer to accommodate the type of patient, which more accurately reflects the
functionality of newer AEDs on the market. And finally, the UltraTrainer allows instructors to disable the rescue breath prompts when teaching hands-only CPR.
In addition to these stand-out differences to all other trainers, the UltraTrainer differs from the Prestan Professional series in a variety of other ways.

The Prestan Professional trainer has several great features for instructors. Instructors will find a
benefit to being able to do so using a remote (sold separately for some models), which can help with larger classes. The trainers more accurately reflect the size and weight of real AEDs, at 9.5″ x 7.25″ x 2.75″, and weighs 2.2 lbs. Some instructors prefer having separate adult and pediatric pads, which is an option with the Professional model. Instructors are able to choose units which include the pediatric pads and remote, or the trainer without these
add-ons.
