Q: Does this peephole come with lifetime polished brass ?

Ours was in brushed nickel but it looks like it will last a lifetime.

Q: can it replace an existing peephole without drilling

It can but you would have to be sure the existing hole is the right size.

Q: whats best way to drill straight hole that match up on both sides? so it is straight in door & fits gight on both sides?

The easiest way to make it level is a drill with a built in level, but careful eyeballing is good enough. With the pilot hole drilled, select a bit the exact size of the shaft. If the door is hollow (typical), drill through the outside panel from the outside, stopping well short of the inside panel, then repeat from the inside. This ensures that the remnants of the drilling process from both sides of the door end up inside the door and are neither visible nor obstruct the viewer installation. If the door is solid, drill halfway through from each side. Same process for the same reason. Install the viewer. It's pretty easy, just make sure you wear eye protection, have sharp bits, and be absolutely certain about the viewer location before drilling. Good luck. This product works awesome in our door.

It could. It depends on how dark the screen is
