A must for Batman fans!
I'm a recent convert to the cult of Lego collecting. I grew up with the toys, but was brought back into the fold as an adult. And being a huge comic book fan growing up, this DC line has been something that I've really looked forward to.I was so upset that I missed the last LEGO Batman line, especially the old Batcave. This is a somewhat scaled down version of that, but still really cool and more detailed than it might look at first glance.MINIFIGS:1. Batman - This is the blue and grey suit, reminiscent of the 60's TV series or the early comics. It fits the style of this slightly more colorful Batcave.2. Robin - This is the red and black costume variant, and a great little minifig. He definitely looks like more of a teenage Robin than a kid version. He comes with a cool grappling hook gun.3. Bane - This will definitely be a hot minifig when the new movie comes out this Summer. He looks great. Lots of detail, including the back printing. Not my favorite Batman villain, but nice to have.4. Poison Ivy - I love this minifig! She's a lot cooler looking than the old version, with brighter colors, more detail (including flowers in the hair) and an angry scowl.5. Bruce Wayne - Nothing too unique, but this is the only set you can get him in, so if you want to have Batman out of costume, you're definitely going to need this!SET:This Batcave is really cool. It may not have as many pieces as the old one, but it's still a nice size and a really good value for the price. I love the holding cell for the bad guys. The "change Bruce Wayne into Batman" play feature doesn't always work quite as flawlessly as it should (sometimes he gets stuck), but it's still a nice idea. The control panels at the computer are nice and detailed and I love how the door opens to let the Batmobile roll through (if you have the Batmobile set, too). The little details are nice, too, including the red phone (from the 60's TV series).Bane's drill, though not really in character for him, is really, really cool. When you roll it, the drill part moves. The bat cycle included isn't as nice as the one from the Funhouse set, but still good to have.

Awesome set!
My 6 year old son just had a major surgery, and so he got lots of "surgery gifts" after. This was one of them. He asked me for this because he is a huge lego fan. This set has a TON of pieces, but he was able to complete it on his own. The functionality of this set is really cool. Lots of moving parts, booby-traps, etc. I was playing with him and was enjoying messing around with all of the gadgets on this one. It also comes with several of the batman characters too. It will take a young kid about 2 hours to build, due to the amount of pieces. If an adult or older child helps you can probably knock it out within an hour. Very cool set!

Yay! Lego Batman is back.
It's refreshing to see these Lego Superheroes sets coming out. Now I can jump on each new Batman set and get it for my son without welling up with regret about how I missed out on something (e.g. Star Wars Jawa Sandcrawler). While I typically don't go right for the most expensive set, I couldn't resist getting this for my seven-year-old son because: a) he wouldn't stop talking about it; b) it has a lot of great Batman characters (Bane, Batman, Robin, Poison Ivy and Bruce Wayne); and c) it's the Batcave! The set has a pretty slick feature, which is that when you drop Bruce Wayne into an elevator shaft, Batman pops out at the bottom (providing, of course, that you put Batman in there . . .). The Bane drilling vehicle is quite nice, with a bit that rotates as the wheels turn. Let's just hope this set stays together for a long time . . .

Great for lego lovers!
My 7 year old lego loving daughter has been asking for this Batcave for MONTHS. We finally bought it for her and she was not disappointed! She is way into legos, and she can usually build the sets pretty quick, which is good for her ego, but bad when you spend so much money on something that they are interested in for only about an hour. Fortunately, this set took her several hours to build! And, it has the added bonus of being an actual play set where she and her brother can sit around and play with the little characters that come with it... I mean its a functioning Batcave. It has brought them hours of entertainment so far!

Grandson loves it
My grandson requested this for his 10th birthday and stalked the mail carrier until it came -- lucky for Prime it was quick! He loves it...and now his cousin wants one. Legos are cool because the kids have to follow the pictured directions and if they don't follow a process their results aren't what they want. They have to back up and see what they missed. That practice is a good one for any child to learn and good developmentally for mathematics and science. At least, that is what I am telling myself....cause he doesn't care -- he just loves his Legos and I am just fine with that!

My Grand Nephew loved it!!!
My Grand Nephew is five years old and he got to open his christmas present a little early this year. He is into super heroes, so I bought him this. (Trying to earn some serious brownie points). Mission Accomplished!!! He absoluetly loves it. As a matter of fact, right after he opened it, he went into his room and changed into his halloween super hereo costume just so he could play the part when he started playing with his gift. If you have a young one whom is in love with the whole super heroe thing, get him this. You will not be dissapointed.
