🔥 Master your grill game with precision and style!
This Digital Pro Controller with dual integrated meat probes is a direct replacement for Traeger's BAC365 Pro Series controller, compatible with most Traeger wood pellet grills (excluding select models). It offers a wide temperature range from 180°F to 450°F, a bright LED display readable in sunlight, and an automatic cooling function for consistent grilling performance.

Perfect replacement
Repaired a broken control module on a PitBoss 820. It was not the easiest repair...some of the screws from the unit had become a little corroded making removal a little difficult. Additionally, a lot of wires to reconnect. I'm not an electrician but relatively handy. It would have been nice if the wires on the new module were the same color as the old one...would have made the task simple...

Traeger stopped working, bought as a guess for problem and Traeger now functioning
After almost a year, tried to turn on my Traeger to be welcomed with a dark screen. My Traeger Big Texas was DOA. Verified power at the plug but nothing showed on the display. Did a bit of looking and decided it was likely the control panel, so I bought this on a bit of a lark. Replacement isn't super difficult, but there are a couple of tight cables and fitting the board behind the board through the hole can be a bit finicky but you should be able to replace this with only a little technical know-how.One thing to be careful is Traeger does wire tie all the cable bundles together. Cutting the ties without cutting the cables can be fun. Definitely unplug Traeger first, then get the cable ties cut behind the board, then disconnect the two screws in the front out (save them, you'll need them to hold in the new control unit) and pull the unit out the front, carefully turning to get through the hole. After replacement, this does give a few items my original Traeger didn't have. Unit comes with two temperature probes. So far, I haven't used them so I can't verify accuracy although I'd replaced this on my mother's Little Texas and they seem to be pretty accurate. The unit will also stop when a low temperature is received for some time. Early on, had a fire in my Traeger when the fire went out and I didn't notice. I re-started and went well over-temperature when a huge pile of pellets lit. (No, I hadn't followed the manual and removed everything and cleaned up the collected pellets.) With the new unit, you should only have about 10 minutes of pellets in the fire cup.

Excellent Product If...
First the easy part. This control panel met every expectation I had. The build quality is as good as the OEM. The installation was straightforward due to the wiring colors to the harnesses matching the pre-existing wiring. After successfully installing, the system operates as good, if not better than the original in terms of temperature regulation. I couldn't be happier with it! Just one thing:Full Disclaimer, I am NOT a licensed electrician. I am trained in electrical and electronic installation, however, I am also susceptible to making mistakes. Even seemingly simple ones.I say all that, because I had to order this smoker control panel for my Pit Boss twice. There wasn't anything wrong with the first one, but to put it simply, DO NOT PLUG IN POWER until you have ALL connections attached AND the control panel mounted! When mounting the control panel to the box, you must pass the control board through the hole in the front in order to attach it to the facing. There is a component on the back of the control board that is nearly impossible not to touch against the metal of the box when trying to put the control panel in place. If there is no power, then, no problem! However, if you plug in power and THEN try to put the control panel into place, you will inevitably touch the back of the control board to the metal box. Sparks will fly, popping noises will be heard, and your brand-new control board will be fried.Dumb move on my part. But no reason to criticize the product or the seller. Everything from their end was top notch!

Works good
Just installed it yesterday. When I initially started it up smoke selection had it at almost 300. But once I set the p-value to 2 it came back down. Make sure you adjust your p-value. This is how long a pause there is between the auger pushing pellets. It is not controlled by the temp Guage. The temp controller controls how fast the auger spins. It spins for 15 seconds no matter what. Then the p-value tells it how long to wait to feed. The temp Guage is only to tell the person grilling what the temp is.

Horribly Efficient And Leaves Soot On Food
TLDF - it'll run your smoker, but it's way off on temp and it runs like a pellet stove instead of a smoker. This controller turned my smoker into a pellet stove. What I mean by that is that it runs super efficiently and you never see smoke wafting out of the stack or sides. Never. It smokes like crazy on startup, but that's it. Even when you up temp during cooking 100 degrees, you won't see any smoke. It runs just like my pellet stove now, and that sucks. Someone else commented that it burns fewer pellets; that's because it doesn't load the burn can for more smoke. It also doesn't get to or hold temp. This comes with a brand new thermocouple, which I also installed, and it's 20-30 degrees colder than the readout suggests. (See pics)It is weird hearing the fan pulse instead of constantly run, but when it drops below the set temp, it comes on fully and then cuts off the minute it hits temp again. The auger works perfectly. I monitored everything on first fire and it all works... just like a pellet stove. At lower temps, it's 10-20 degrees off. So if you want 225, set it for 240.The manufacturer wants three times more for this controller, so I gave it a try. I'll get the OEM version when this one dies. The instructions are pretty generic. You will need to trace the wiring to the individual component as you install it. Mine was very easy and it took about 20 minutes total.Too bad. Everything else, like fitment, build quality, and quality of components are great!Let me add one more thing. I'm not sure why this is happening, but the new way of operation is leaving black soot all over the food. I didn't think to snap a pic until after I pulled all the skin off the bird, but it's bad. Changing my rating to 1 star as I can't do ribs like this..
