This is the best bluebird house on the market. Designed according to the latest science and manufactured with impeccable attention to detail. A quality product through and through. I purchased one for myself several years ago and got one for a friend last month. I love opening the box - the smell of wood is so delicious. It comes fully assembled with an insert that allows you to scan a QR code and get access to very helpful information on attracting and caring for bluebirds. I have NOT been able to attract bluebirds, but that is NOT the fault of this birdhouse. It has more to do with the suburban environment, noise, etc. WHITEHORSE has very kindly sent me a complimentary set of metal guards that allows me to customize the birdhouse for other species like chickadees and nuthatches - they are plentiful in my yard. Every year I apply a coat of raw linseed oil to the birdhouse exterior to spruce it up a bit and protect it from the elements. This year I am considering adding a coat of light-colored paint to the roof to hopefully prevent nest failure due to hotter spring/summer temperatures. If you have bluebirds in your yard, give them a nice home and consider purchasing this product. You will not be disappointed.

Awesome, well designed bluebird nest box! The company makes two versions, with the slightly deeper box better suited to Western Bluebirds. Clever features set this box apart. Under the rooftop, the ventilation holes are drilled at an outward slant, so rain won’t drip into the box. There are floor vents as well, and a wire mesh platform above the bottom which also keeps the nesting materials dry. The inside panel beneath the entrance hole has a cut in textured ladder, to help the birds climb up and out. And the panel through which one opens the box for cleaning or inspection, is fixed to swing outward - but not on a whim, so it can’t be opened by a clever cat or squirrel. Wish my property was large enough to put out more than one box!

I was very excited to receive the bird house. Seeing bluebirds in the yard, I wanted to help sustain the population and give them a safe place to nest. This product is well built and more importantly it meets the North American Bluebird Society standards (not all available bird houses do). This is important as it ensures the box is designed to be safe, accessible, and attractive to the bluebirds while deterring predators and competing bird populations. When the box is installed properly on a pole with a baffle it protects the nest and young from predators like snakes, racoons, and cats. This a fantastic product from a great company.

This bird house surpasses every other bird house on the market that I looked at in terms of quality, bird safety, functionality, sturdiness, and craftsmanship, and it's also attractive. It is important to note that Whitehorse bird houses are constructed with fledgling kerfs on the inside below the entrance hole to assist young birds in climbing up to the exit so that they do not die inside. This is a crucial feature that many bird houses on the market lack! Additionally, Whitehorse bird houses have a double roof to help prevent overheating inside. They also contain a wire mesh floor to assist in keeping nests clean as well as a lower, sloped floor with drain holes which allow dirt and debris to slide out of the house, also helping to keep the inside of the house clean. The bottom of the bird house is recessed so that it stays dry. Moreover, exterior vent holes are angled upwards to prevent rain from entering, and the roof contains channels for directing rainwater. The roof extends approximately 2 inches beyond the entrance hole below, sheltering it from the elements. Furthermore, the entrance hole contains a predator guard with a steel plate to prevent enlargement of the hole. The sturdy construction is of 3/4" cedar, which can be coated or painted if desired, and the joints are wind and rain proof. The front of the bird house opens for easy cleaning of the inside and closes snuggly and securely afterwards. This is a very well-designed, well-made product which is far superior to many bird houses on the market and will last for many years. It provides good value for the money, and the customer service is excellent. I recommend Whitehorse bird houses without reservation.

Within the first day of installation, a bird had already moved in, which speaks to the attention given to the cavity size and overall construction. The camera quality is great, and the materials feel durable.Initially, I had a connectivity issue with the camera after setting it up outside. However, I reached out to the company, and their customer service was outstanding. Rebecca was extremely responsive, professional, and proactive in troubleshooting. She provided multiple options to fix the issue, took responsibility for the problem, and ultimately made things right. A replacement part is on the way, and in the meantime, the workaround resolved the issue.I appreciate both the innovation and the level of customer support this company provides. I highly recommend this birdhouse camera, not just for its quality but also because the company truly stands behind its product.I had a chickadee visit the first day! And instead of the roof mount I chose to connect the solar panel off the rear mount.
