An affordable scribe for tight spaces
A nice, long reach. scriber, with a narrow tip. Alot of scribers are shaped like pencils, this one has a long slender tip. Needed it to scrape a mark on clutch discs while testing my bush hog slip clutch. Paint pen, too thick to fit. Not far enough reach. Nails dont scrape well. Pencil marks not visible. Hardened steel worked fine. Left a bright mark. Will also work for any other scribing tasks. Fairly inexpensive, specialty tool. Probably not greatest for all scribe work, as your fingers are too far from the tip. Some loss of control.

NOT cabide
This scriber has "carbide" in the title but there's no carbide anywhere in the product. Furthermore, the description of being a pocket scriber is somewhat misleading if you expect to quickly deploy it from the pocket configuration to being able to scribe. You must completely remove the chuck nut to pull out the tip, reverse tip, then reinstall the nut. The only reason to give 2 stars is that it is a scriber.
