Great buy and price
I purchased this battery since replacement battery at dell.com was $89...when I received this battery, compared it to the one that came with my dell laptop L502x and it was exactly the same battery at a third of the price...wow. Battery works great and delivery was prompt. Glad I saw this. FYI, on my dell laptop, when I installed, the computer kept flashing at startup that battery was incompatible. That is not the case at all, just required a bios setting change and all is good. Laptop battery working great!

Very short lifespan - battery dead in less than a year
This battery was a replacement for a Dell XPS that had lasted over 10 years with the OEM battery. This replacement was installed and lasted less than a year with *very light* use, as this laptop is a backup device. Very poor longevity with this battery in my experience.

Works great on Dell XPS L502X
Bought this battery for a Dell XPS L502X Latin America version and it works perfectly. It gives around 3 hours of battery and it is flat. This makes the already bulky laptop easier to carry. For those wondering if it will have issues because it is not an authentic Dell battery, it will still work and charge normally (it did for me) and you will get a warning everytime you boot the laptop but this can be disabled through the BIOS.

Works fine
Get a boot up message:"Warning: The battery is not recommended for this system, the system will be unable to charge the battery." Strike the F1 key to continue, F2 to run setup utility"After pressing F1 to continue boot, battery charging and running on battery is normal with Windows 10.I ran the computer for so long with a defective battery that I have no way to compare the run time with this battery compared to the original.Note that the dimensions in the listing for the box the battery is in, not the battery itself. I was worried that the battery would not fit my computer, but ordered it anyway because my computer model number was in the description. It fit properly.

DONT BUY
UPDATE it’s been less than a year that I’ve had this battery and now it’s not working for my laptop and I honestly barely use my laptop I usually just use it for applications and it just sits since they’re not overly charging and I took care of my computer what a wasteThose of you saying that you keep getting an error message I'm guessing you bought the wrong battery I installed this on my Dell XPS which is a little older version but the battery works perfectly I haven't been able to use my computer without having it plugged in for a little over a year so I'm so happy this battery has worked out. Happy to get some more use out of my laptop until I can afford a more light weight one one.

Two units arrived totally non-functional. Seller replaced first and stopped responding.
Purchased this battery for a Dell XPS 17 (L502x) as advertised in the item description. The first battery would not hold a charge, and Win 7 gave a message that the computer was plugged in but not charging. I spent some time determining that I had a sufficient wattage power supply to charge the battery - and the return period expired. The seller was very polite and gracious enough to help me troubleshoot the issue, and then sent a replacement battery when it still failed to charge. The replacement battery sent also did not hold a charge, and the computer stated "Plugged in, not charging" as before. These batteries were stone cold dead and the computer would blink off immediately when the cord was removed, as though there was no battery at all.I replaced the "known bad" battery that I was trying to replace and sure enough got a message from Win 7 that the battery was charging (however I knew the battery itself was too old and would not last). After the second battery the seller did not respond within 10 days and I made this review. Total waste of $30.

Battery Not Fully Compatible
Product seems to work, at least so far. However, now there is an error screen each time the laptop is powered on because Dell considers it "incompatible" with the equipment. Have to by-pass each time with F1 key.
