Q: hey manufacturer! why would you not offer replacement trays? the coating flaking is a real issue and it will render my appliance useless anytime now

They DID replace my tray because it quickly started peeling and flaking off. The replacement tray that they sent seemed to be of better quality but It didn't last a year before it started flaking AND rusting. Unless you don't mind nonstick "non-toxic" materials in your food try Air Fryer Silicone Liners. Or an all ceramic air fryer.

Q: Has anyone bought baking dishes to fit in this and if so what is the max size will fit?

Q: how many chicken thighs fit

5 or 6 med thighs (1 layer); I've never stacked anything in it but french fries that I brought home after eating. This is the best purchase of any appliance in past 5 years

Q: Does it turn off automatically wen the timer finishes?

Yes unit turns off when timer ends. It also turns off when the basket is pulled out. If you want to turn power off when timer is not finished you could just unplug it and timer will finsh without power.
