Works like a champ!
I will never, repeat, NEVER reheat my brisket and pulled pork in the microwave again.I bought a vacuum sealer too, so I can make TONS of BBQ, portion and freeze it, then reheat to the perfect temp without drying or over cooking. If you're a meat smoker, this should be in your toolbox.Wifi control works great!

Works perfectly for L Reuteri yogurt's long, precise ferment.
Works great! I'm currently using it for L. Reuteri yogurt. A 36 hour ferment at a precise temperature is required. The temperature can't fluctuate. I tested it first by filling a half gallon jar with cold water, and filling a plastic tote to the top of the liquid in the jar. I wanted the temperature to stay between 95 and 100 degrees F. With the water, and now with the milk that I'm culturing to make L Reuteri yogurt, I need to keep the temperature set to 96 degrees. When set at 100 degrees F during my test run with only water in the jar, the temperature sometimes hit 110, which is a bit too high.I haven't tried meat yet, but I don't think the small fluctuation in temperatures would matter for that. I'm very happy with this tool I can make as much yogurt as I want now!

Bad Clip Design is only Flaw I can find
I ordered this to replace a Monoprice Sous Vide that has gone rogue. I was concerned when looking at this unit that the clip might be an issue for me. I cook in a small cooler because it is more efficient than an un-insulated pot. The clip on this cooker won't fit over the edge of the cooler. I was going to return it when it occurred to me to try the clip off of the old Monoprice cooker. I was pleased to discover the clip from the Monoprice unit fit this one. It saved the day and I can still use this with my cooler. InkBird needs to redesign the clip on this to make it more functional.Compared to the Monoprice unit, which was bottom of the line, this InkBird has some very nice features. It is VERY quite. I couldn't even hear it running. The controls on the unit are pretty easy to operate but the APP is even easier to use. I completed my first cook with it this weekend and i found the APP very easy to use. I like that you can customize the library of included presets and then recall them whenever you like.My only complain about the APP is that the account registration/setup process relies on a emailed authentication code that only lasts 60 seconds and took almost 45 seconds to be delivered. It made setting up an account really frustrating. Thankfully if you fail the authentication code scheme enough times the APP gives up on trying to use the code entirely and just proceeds. Come on Inkbird, 60 seconds is ridiculous. It should be 5 minutes at least.I'm looking forward to using this unit more. Hopefully i can get at least a few years of weekly use from it like I did with the Monoprice unit.

My first sous vide: I love it so far !
I originally purchased a sous vide cooker from Anova but returned it for several reasons (see my review).I'm so glad I sent it back and replaced it with this one. I've used it a handful of times already and this has been my initial experience:- This cooker is insanely quiet ! I can barely hear it running even with my ear right next to the machine.- Part of the app signup process was confusing (and saw an error message in Chinese). Once I got past that, it was a snap to get the cooker connected to my wifi.- While I was using it, the temperature reading was exactly the same as my other thermometer from ThermoPro.- The screen is very informative and easy to read.So far I have been using it to make Super Gut Yogurt (ala Dr Davis) so the temperature range and extended timer capabilities were crucial. But I'm also looking forward to trying other things, like chicken breasts and steaks. After a search online, I was surprised to find so many things to do with a sous vide, like making cheese cake, pickled veggies, or pasteurizing eggs for mayonnaise !5 solid starsI hope that you found this review Helpful !

Flawless operation!
Heats cold tap water to 130 degrees in 30 minutes. Having the app is very nice! It even has presets in the app. I love it!

DO NOT BUY
Here is a little update…The display went mostly out within a few months. Fortunately, you can set everything by Wi-Fi, and I just lived with that. Then the unit began resetting the configuration. The temperature scale and the Wi-Fi connection were the big offenders. Now the unit turns on but and heats, but you can’t connect to set the temperature and the display only shows three of the right-most display segments which is useless when trying to set a temperature. The cost for a warranty return approaches the cost of a new model so just shop for something else to avoid the frustration. Some time ago, I purchased the cheapest sous vide model I could find. I just wanted to experiment. The cheap model died within a year, and this time, I was prepared to purchase a far more expensive mainstream model. This was not my first choice, but I liked the price. So far, I have not been disappointed. The wireless application works perfectly, allowing me to monitor cooking remotely. The only downside is that it takes a long time to heat up. My old model, with the same wattage, was able to bring 3-gallons of water to temperature within 15 minutes, but this one can take up to double the time to heat the same volume. The delay feature means that I can set everything up and it will begin heating at the prescribed time. Everything works great if I remember to add the food when the water is at temperature. There are a lot of preset cooking times and temperatures that are great guidance, but I can’t figure out how to directly apply them to a recipe as you need to manually input the time and temperature. This is a great model for someone on a budget that is interested in exploring the cooking technique and (so far) has been very effective for my regular use.
