So far, so good
I purchased the desert sand color. The actual color seems spot on with the color on the can. I have a 20 year old broom finish covered and screened in patio. It is 30 x 12, 360 sq ft. I gave it a very thorough pressure washing with a gas powered pressure washer, and after letting it dry for 2-3 days I vacuumed the surface and thinned the first gallon per the instructions to serve as the primer coat. After cutting in the edges with a brush I applied the rest with an 18” roller pad. The paint applied well, and dried faster than expected. The primer coat was uneven and splotchy, not totally unexpected for a primer coat going on unfinished concrete. It took far more paint than anticipated, two gallons thinned to 10 quarts for the primer coat. Thus the reason for the four star rating. I ordered two more gallons and applied the second coat. Again, it took both gallons to finish the second coat, although this time I do have a little left in the cans for use with the brush if needed. Like the primer coat, the second coat dried faster than expected, and it’s looking very nice, the paint flows out nicely even with it being thick. The instructions say to apply 2-3 coats, I’ll probably order two more gallons and do a third coat.Other than the coverage being way less than anticipated, I like it very much and am hoping it has some decent longevity. The color is nice, the satin finish is right on the money, and the second coat resulted in a much more uniform appearance. I didn’t anticipate it taking this much paint, but at $50 a gallon the cost to do this is very nominal, and application is easy, so if it still looks good in a couple of years I’ll call it a success.I did three coats, but honestly, if applied correctly and not too skimpily, two coats should suffice, it really has good covering ability.

Gorgeous “rope swing” color
Gorgeous color (desert sand). If you’ve ever seen the Trex “rope swing” color… it’s very similar. Like a very very light brown (in the can reminded me of a super milky iced latte). One Photo is on an overcast rainy day (raining, which is why it’s soshiny, otherwise it’s like a slight sheen). Other photos taken full sun after dry. White railing and balusters here are Clark+Kensington ultra white. This white is a very “cool” white, a very white white. If I did it again I would probably pick more of a brighter white with a yellow tinge (like Polar White by Behr)Choosing the color was the most stressful thing for me, a lot of other companies and products offer so many colors and sometimes those colors can look way different on such a large area. This INSLX desert sand has nailed it in terms of the sort of washed out light brown. Not too yellow, not too orange. Note when wet it looks a bit more… “pink”? I panicked a bit when I opened the can but now dry it looks perfect.Great coverage even in 1 coat. Followed can instructions as closely as possible (surface and air temp above 50F, not within 5degrees of dew point which just means not too humid… no rain and 24 hours before 2nd coat). Prepped deck with TSP wash and scrub, light power wash, 2 days of drying, light sanding with 80 grit, then primer. I used Kilz 3 (though technically not rated for floors… the INSLX aqua wasn’t available in time for me). One coat on even with a 9” roller and saw full coverage. I was in a rush for time so rolled the first coat with 3/4” nap but I brushed on the 2nd coat next day to get in all the cracks and in between boards. This stuff was able to fill in biggg cracks. I wanted to make sure there would be a full 2 days to dry before rain (daytime temps around 50-60 night time around 40). Looks beautiful. Will update in a year on durability…30 year old deck looks brand new!Tip for novice painters like me: balusters are THE WORST to paint. I used a small 1” brush. They take forever. Prepare yourself…. I decided to prioritize the floor with ideal conditions / right after primer and I’ll finish the balusters later. Also, shipped very well. They individually package each gallon in its own cardboard box. Watch the little video in the photos for how to take off the plastic ring… hadn’t seen that one before. Good luck !

Amazing coverage. Easy to apply.
I am really happy with the Saddle Brown color. I will upload photos when I finish my project. I'm using Saddle Brown and Desert Sand to create a special finish. The paint spreads well, and I am amazed at how well it covers with one coat. They shipped this paint in a very secure box and with a collar that protected it from spillage through the shipping process. I will definitely use this paint for other projects. Some before and after pictures.

not the worst
Used this late fall to paint my deck, looked great! Applied very easily and seem to hold up pretty well to the rain. I did notice that when it would get wet it would not have an even looking color for a few hours as it dried. Fast forward to the beginning of spring, some of the scratches from the ice and the snow are starting to become more noticeable, as well as some wear and chipping along the steps and high traffic spots
