Patrick Picklebottom and the Penny Book Hardcover – November 20, 2020

Wish I could give this six stars and I don’t say that often. Great illustrations. Great rhyme and meter. Great story about the power of a good book. This one is SOLID!

Fabulous story that is very current. The illustrations are stunning and the lesson about the value of reading books is timeless. I volunteer to help struggling readers and this book shares a message I wholeheartedly support.

Beautifully illustrated with vibrant colors. A nice, simple book for the kids before bed routine.

This book is beautifully written with bright, fun illustrations! As a parent, I especially loved the theme and message of the story. Reading this book with our little ones led to a lot of great discussions and the importance of a passion for reading and using your own imagination. The only complaint we have is that our book arrived with a bent corner, but that is more likely due to shipping and we have no concerns or complaints about the beautiful story and illustrations in the book.

I was drawn in by the illustrations being colorful and engaging but the story itself is even better. It promotes reading without being preachy. I highly recommend this book to parents and caretakers of young children. It also came undamaged with a nice book jacket!

Patrick Picklebottom does not disappoint! Great story showing how you don’t need screens to entertain. The words of a book can take your mind to wonderful places.
