Q: Can these be eaten raw? I'm looking for raw crab to make marinated raw crabs

They come frozen but I don't see why you couldn't eat them raw, and marinated.

Q: How big are the crabs

They were supposed to be whales but were actually primes. We used to shed 10,000 soft crabs a year as commercial fishermen in NC and craved them. This order was disappointing and we wont order here again. We have since bought and voraciously consumed nearly 3 dozen softshells from local markets.

Q: Many of the comments on your company are hat you bait and switch regarding size.how can i be assured i will get whales if i pay for whales?

we buy soft shell crabs by the case. we ship whales that are 5-51/2 inches and weigh 4oz each. there is no bait and switch as that would serve no purpose. Not all the crabs are the same size.

Q: Do the come cleaned and ready to eat or do you have to gut and cut the face off?

they are cleaned and ready to eat.
