Blue Flag, Vol. 7

This one made me cry my freaking eyes out. This volume was so emotional, wow! Immediately starting volume 8! I am still crying hahaah

Volume 7 offers an interesting perspective into the highschool mind of a boy confessed to by his best friend and a girl who harbors feelings for her bestfriend. Complicating this is the boy likes the girls crush. I liked this approach to this type of romance as to me it felt compelling not just for the same sex aspect of love but for the perspectives each character brought to the table and the friends or classmates around them.Most of the volume focused on conversations with little to no action. I do think some of the conversation did get a little bogged down at the start as our main character, Taichi, didn’t really say much of anything and the two female classmates were going at it with one other classmates and it felt as if they were about to go in circles before stomping out. Also, since no one was declared right or wrong it just felt, a little pointless…even if people did make compelling arguments for their case. A traumatic situation with molestation did emerge from this conversation which I think was handled decently. I wish the emotions were a bit higher and characters thought more about what he said.Regardless, I thought it was a nice time to see Taichi interact with other classmates for one without his friend group around him.And lastly, Toma offered interesting perspective and even had emotions that I think anyone in his situation would feel, especially when you want to come out to those around you but you just can’t say it. I teared up for him. Maybe next time.Looking forward for whats next, crossing fingers and hoping for a Taichi Toma end as Taichi is looking like he is really think hard about his feelings and based on their past scenes and how close they are and act that there is probably something there. I think Misumi may end up alone as Futaba doesn’t seem like she has strong feelings like that for her.

Love this volume. Heavy on dialogue tho so be warned. The story goes deeper with others point of view and a lot of self reflecting on your feelings and knowing it’s okay to feel what your feeling. As always the art is great and I had geared up far too many times reading this volumes. Either way, it’s great and can’t wait for the conclusion.

The damage was just on the spines sides -- also the spine was unlinedBut, other than that great story!I recommend this to anyone who is new to manga, it is a funny, inclusive manga that I LOVE <3

I love this series so much. I can’t wait until it gets an anime (fingers crossed) though this certain volume was lacking Toma content it gave a lot of girl talk and conversations that needed to be had. I’ll miss this series once it’s over!

It came earlier then I expected because I had preordered it and it came on the 19. So I was very happy about that. Plus I love this manga and it came in perfect condition. I really hope this can become an anime.
