Q: Amazon has sold this to me in the past but now will not place my order because of my shipping location (California). What gives?

It's likely that the entity from which you bought the item does not have stock in the warehouse closest to you. I would check if buying from one of the other sellers would be able to push the sale though. If you get stuck, call me at the number on the package, and we'll see if there is something we can do.

Q: For a product that claims ecofriendliness why did you switch to a packing material that cannot be recycled?

Charlie’s Soap is packaged in either recycled or minimal plastic to ensure the product’s integrity in transport and longevity in your home. Cardboard doesn't hold up, glass is too expensive, and bioplastics are unproven. #7 plastics are recyclable in some communities and we do offer the product in 100 load refillable jars that are reusable and #2 recyclable. The large plastic bucket this product used to ship in proved problematic in shipping damages during transit by the carriers, necessitating a packaging change to keep product and shipping costs low. But, we are always looking for a better way, and continue our research and development looking for a practical alternative.

Q: Is this safe for hand washing?

Yes, it is non-toxic and hypoallergenic.
