Scotchgard Fabric Water Shield, 1 Can x 400ml - Water Repellent Spray for Clothing and Household Upholstery Items, Long-Lasting

I use this to spray footwear, and it's excellent. A good level of protection, water wicks away from the shoe with no problem. I've walked through deep puddles, long wet grass and in torrential rain and my footwear has remained none dry.It has quite a strong smell when applying, so I recommend using outside or next to an open window. Great value compared to other brands I've tried.

Easy to apply and seems to cover as per instructions. Results are good, wouldn't say excellent. But certainly have improved old anorak.

I bought this Scotchgard waterproofing spray to use on my shoes and jackets. I can say it works exceptionally well.One of my walking shoes developed a leakage though no holes was visible. I sprayed the Scotchgard deliberately, let it dry, then sprayed again. The shoes don't let water in anymore.I used it also on a couple of jackets. I was pleased there was no streaks left on the clothes and the waterproofing was very good.The spray does have a strong chemical smell so you need to use it in a well-aired place. Outside or on the balcony is fine.I think it's quite expensive at £10 a bottle. However, it definitely works well.Hope it helps.

Before a recent trip my wife and I bought a couple of ultra lightweight showerproof jackets. We were not expecting bad weather so thought they would be enough for a light shower. In fact the rain was a little more than a light shower and the jackets proved to be as waterproof as a string vest. That led to the purchase of this spray.There was enough in the can to give both jackets a good spray with a little left over. The jackets spent an hour or so drying and I gave them a test using a LOT of water from our garden hose. It was like wearing a plastic mac. Nothing came through and nothing seemed to soak into the jacket. The water just balled on the surface and shook off.So far very happy.

So far this year its working very well and I'v been camping three times and its rained every time

Sprayed as instructed on a raincoat. Absolutely no water protection whatsoever. Followed the instructions to the letter too

I’m giving this 5 stars, as it’s easy to use. As for the protection I can’t really say as I would need to spill something.
