Great product for full-time RV'er
I full-timed for 8 years straight, and hub-and-spoke today. In the beginning, I replaced sewer hoses every 4 to 8 months. I even had one that busted just as I was emptying the black tank. They just weren't durable. I tried every brand including this brand. Eventually, I bought a Lippert Waste Master. I have been using the same hose for about 4 years, and I suspect it will last another 4 years. I even used this hose during the Texas big freeze with -29 degree windchill, and it survived. They are expensive up front, but it saved me a lot of money over the years. To use these hoses, you have to convert to a cam lock connector like that often used for commercial applications, which many people are afraid to do, BUT it is so worth it. I will never go back. The biggest challenge for some people, I imagine, is you have to switch to a cam lock connector. It requires modifying your existing hardware. It is pretty simple for most people, though. The hose is a little bulkier than most, but in order to be tough as it is, it probably has to be bulkier. Another challenge is that there seems to be only one vendor that produces this kind of product. I would prefer more competition in the tough sewer hose market. The cam lock connecter is common for commercial applications, so I suppose a person could build their own sewer hose that is as tough as this one by piecing together various part too. Anyhow, just a thought. I read that there was a bad batch some time back. Yep, that happens even with the best of companies. Again, they need competition in the high strength cam lock connector sewer hose market.I certainly recommend this product for fulltime RV'ers. I suppose if you are a baby RV'er who comes out to play once a year, it may not be cost effective.

RV Sewer Hose!
Excellent Product

Only time will tell if the conversion is worth the time and money
I purchased this hose & head as part of my conversion to my gray and black water disposal system to true union ball valves and the cam lock connections which are much less likely to leak when compared to poorly designed and manufactured gate valves and the bayonet system by other manufacturers.

The Best Sewer Upgrade for you RV!
We recently purchased a used (new to us) Class C RV. Since the previous owners had upgraded to a larger Class A, they kept almost all of the support items like hoses and cables. We did a lot of research into sewer hoses and systems before selecting the Lippert. Even though we are occasional campers and not full timers, it is still important to outfit our RV with the best quality components. I am looking for products that last a lifetime. It’s also important to consider when traveling in a camper, you don’t have a lot of extra storage and space for redundancy, so carrying a backup is not an option.I watched several YouTube videos and was sold on the advantages. The smooth internal piping with wire supported outside makes flow through the pipe easy. I really like the end fitted valve as a backup in case of problems at the dump station. The clear plastic at the valve body makes it easy to see when you have fully cleaned and cleared your tanks and pipes.YOU DO NEED TO MODIFY YOUR RV OR CAMPER. I have seen reviews that bashed this product for that… but you need to know that before your purchase. That is the fault of the buyer not doing proper research. The installation videos and instructions talk about cutting the nubs off your typical sewer fitting and gluing the camlock adapter to it. With the location of our sewer connection being right behind our tire and facing straight down, we were fortunate to have enough pipe to cut the whole existing sewer connection off and replace it instead of retrofitting by sanding and gluing to the existing connection. The Lippert will glue directly to the thin wall 3” ABS type pipes commonly used in most RVs, so if this in an option for you, I would recommend doing it.I am sold on the advantages of CamLock for fittings compared to the nub and twist type that is the standard. CamLock is an industrial standard made to handle rigors of abuse. This stretches and collapses easily. It stores in a collapsed form easily. For us, it slides under the sewer valves in our under bay compartment. For those of you that store your sewer pipe in your square tube bumper: THIS WILL NOT FIT!!! The right angle end is permanently attached to the pipe so it will not slide in a bumper. For those Class A and C people that keep your pipes in an under carriage compartment, this works great as it is easy and efficient to store.Since our sewer output faces straight down, we did find that the initial flow would push the Lippert pipe down and stretch it, even if we had it on the Camco Sidewinder. We did manage to get it to stay well by keeping the Sidewinder more bunched up near the RV, but that was when we were within 10’ of our hookup. If we were farther away, nearing the 20’ length of the Lippert, that would not be an option. To make it easier to hookup and keep the Lippert pipe elevated, I was able to find an Aluminum 3” Cam and Groove Elbow on Amazon that now lets me adapt the Lippert pipe to exit parallel to the ground. Of course that added another $75 to the cost of sewer upgrade. All in all, I spent about $200 for this upgrade (with the addition of the elbow). Is it worth it. To me YES. I know several people that camp a lot during the season, and seem to be replacing their “Stinky Slinky” ever year or two. At 40 or 50 bucks each, I would rather have one that lasts a lifetime, then to have thrown 4 or 5 away before I have attained a return on my investment. I’m also very confident that I won’t have the experience of a cracked tube leaking black water while trying to dump.

Hands Down the best sewer hose out there! Stretches out to 20', folds up very compact.
Hands down the best sewer hose out there! Stretches out to the length of two traditional hoses (20') and yet compresses easily to less than the length of one traditional hose, and remains extremely flexible so you can store it easily in your wet bay. Highly recommend! One huge downside:I wish is that they offered a version with a standard bayonet attachment. I was unable to accommodate the levers for the cam lock style attachment in my wet bay, so I ended up cutting off their cam lock end on the hose and attaching my own bayonet attachment that was cut off from my old rhino hose.Absolutely worth the effort, but would be nice if they offered a version with a quality bayonet end instead of trying to force everyone to switch to a cam lock style. Cam lock style is nice, but a lot of wet bays are tight, and may not be able to accommodate the levers, and the 1-2" of in-out motion required to implement. My Forest River sunseeker sewer dump valve proximity to the hose make the cam lock levers impossible to operate no matter how I turn the adapter for install. Additionally the sewer hose pass through hole in the floor of the wet back compartment is close to dump connection, making it difficult to get a cam lock style in due to the additional in-out motion required to insert a cam lock style connection.Lippert please make a version of this hose with a sturdy bayonet style adapter.
