I have ordered this a couple times - both times it arrived quickly, and in great condition. I mix this with a few other products into my chicken's feed, and they can't get enough of it! Before, I was lucky if I finished a 40lb bag of feed before it went bad. Mixing that same 40lb bag with this and a few other things (probiotics, brewers yeast, etc.) and I'm lucky if it lasts longer than two weeks (no doubt our chickens have some help from the pigeons and starlings that come around, too).Our new girls have glossy feathers, and have started laying much sooner than our first batch did. Our two remaining from the first batch are looking SOOOO much better, and are much more lively than before. While we've made a few changes in their care that would account for it, this is one of those that seems to definitely be helping!I first found this product by following Fresh Eggs Daily, and looking into her "Breakfast Of Champions" recipe on her website.

I started to add this to my flock's feed this fall and it appears to be helping with egg production and quality. My flock also recovered from a VERY HARD molt this year in record time. Not sure if it can be attributed to the Omega Ultra Egg or not but it is the only thing I have changed in their routine.

My chickens went through a ROUGH Springs molt this year, and never regained their feather over the Summer. I tried EVERYTHING. I tried increasing their protein, supplementing with different combinations of supplements, switching food brands, etc., but nothing worked. Mind you, my chickens live a fairly stress free life and have 2 acres to free range on, so I don't think that was a factor either. Anyway, I was about at my wits end when I decided to give this stuff a go. And OH BOY AM I EXCITED! They have not been on this for about 2 weeks, and slowly bit sure those beautiful pin feather have come through and begun to fan out! I am very optimistic that we can get all these feather back in before a harsh Colorado mountain Winter. I am so grateful for this product, and I will be re-ordering when we run out!

I started using this product for my beloved hens when I read a medical journal article that showed this flax supplement helped prevent hen ovary reproductive tumors. It helps keep my hens healthy, helps their feathers be healthy and shiny during molt and gives eggs extra omega benefits. I like to use it most in hot weather -- I take layer pellets mixed with water to form a wet mash and mix the Ultra Egg flax into it, hens like to eat a wet mash in hot weather. My avian vet also recommends this. I keep my girls for life and want them to have whatever will help keep them from getting or help delay ovarian cancer. Good as a boost when treating ill hens too. Roosters get good benefits too. Start using Omega Egg when they start to lay for long term health benefits.

It has not increased egg production. But, we have been enduring extreme cold temperatures. Chickens seem to love it. When it warms up maybe they will get to laying again.

Was not completely bugs. Some soy beans mixed in as filler and sugar.

This product makes such a difference in the quality of my eggs. I first heard about it through the Fresh Eggs Daily website. My egg yolks are SO ORANGE and my girls lay more consistently when they have this supplement. I recently ran out for a few months and forgot to reorder until I saw my egg yolks starting to fade in color, they are still darker than store bought eggs but there is a noticeable difference when they have the Omega supplement. I have added this to my subscribe and save so I will not forget to buy it in the future!
