It truly is awesome and yes it does come with an additional snap on cover. It's simply what it implies, a sturdy clear plastic BPA free bowl with a snap on lid.

Q: Can the covers be used in a microwave oven?

They can! We recommend leaving the lid lifted off on one side to "vent". As always, use caution when handling potentially hot contents.

Q: Why are there 4 different sets of sizes of inner bowls, and only two sizes of outer bowls? Are they interchangable?

We have 2 different types of materials for both sizes of the Eats Bowls. One set is made of Tritan and the other is made of Glass.
