One commenter said they are organic but it doesn't say so anywhere on the bag. So I'm thinking they are not.

Q: Any clue how many dates per pound?

the package weight is 32 oz. Serving per pkg says 5-6 dates and pkg contains about 22 servings..

Q: What type of dates are these ?

They are the USA version of medjool dates. Meaning the are not as large as ones from the Middle East or North Africa. I either stuff my dates with a cream cheese mixture or grind the up for cookies and bread, therefore the size of the date was not an issue for my use. They have the same sweet "honey" taste and soft flesh for a dried date. I plan on purchasing these next year for my holiday baking. Hope this helped, let me know if you have further questions.
