Q: Can the iron rest be left off? I've tried them in the past and not been happy with them.

I'm not sure, but I don't recommend this product. It broke after only a few uses. The metal components that fold the board are cheap and bent beyond repair. I had to throw it out and rebuy a new one locally. Pretty crappy product!

Q: Are there wall hooks available for this ironing board?

On the end. I never use them but on metal end of board.
