BraceAbility Closed Toe Medical Walking Shoe
Like many of the people here, I ended up having to buy a medical boot to allow my foot to heal from an injury. In my case, I broke my pinkie toe. For a month, I thought I could make due on my own without buying any special equipment. I taped it, I babied it, I hobbled around in my winter boots...all was going well until I refractured it. After THAT happened, my husband convinced me to get a proper medical boot. I didn't want one of those big and clunky things that go half way up your calf, so I went searching on Amazon. This bootie was the perfect compromise. This medical bootie is SO easy to put on and wear. It opens completely up, allowing you to put on the bootie without any additional pressure on your injury. The various velcro straps made the bootie very secure on my foot. The size Medium was perfect for my size 7.5 foot. I also tried the small, but my foot was pushing out the front. I did have to borrow one of my husband's thick winter socks to wear inside the boot so my foot didn't twist or slosh in the boot..it kind of helped fill in the space. I could tighten the straps down but my toe was not having the extra pressure, so this was my work around. It is fairly lightweight but protective of the foot. I've accidentally stubbed my foot a few times while wearing this and it definitely protected my foot from any reinjury.I've spent 2 months wearing this bootie.... I went from hobbling around on my heel in it, to finally being able to put some occasionally pressure down, and now I can "walk" while wearing it. This has been a godsend after the refracture, and I wish I had gotten it when I first broke my toe. I've worn it in the rain and in the cold. I've even accidentally fallen asleep while wearing it, and it was still comfortable. It does best on smooth and flat pavement, but I've taken it out for a spin on grassy hills and my backyard. I've been using a cane to help with stability when out in public or getting in/out of my vehicle. I've finally gotten more mobility back and think I'll be out of the bootie fairly soon. I wanted to wait a fair bit before I wrote my review, to make sure it actually helped my injury, but I've been very satisfied with it since I bought it. I've put it through it's paces the past 2 months and it's still holding up fine.Highly HIGHLY recommend to anyone with a toe injury or foot injury. Skip the big bulky boot and get this one instead.

Just what I needed to reduce pain and speed up the healing process.
Followed the measurement guide as to which one I should buy. I ordered the extra large for my size 11.5 feet and it fit perfectly with a little room at the end which is needed if you are nursing an injury. In my case a broken toe. This was the perfect transition to from the giant rocker ankle boot the hospital put me in to begin with. I wore that for about a week and a half and couldnt take it any more. Needed something more shoe like but also protective. This was perfect. The right amount of padding and in just a couple of days of using this most of my was gone. I think the oversized boot the hospital gave me was too restrictive and put weight in the wrong places. I can tell its healing better and faster in this. When the boot the hospital gives you starts doing more harm than good switch to this and it will be just what you need to get over that first painful hump. So I would recommend for a broken toe about 1 to 2 weeks after the initial rocker boot this would be good to switch to.I want to add that my walking is much improved after 1 week of use and I have to sometimes remind myself the toe is broken to restrict what I do because it really helps prevent pain that much.Give this a try if your rocker boot is not cutting it.

Too long ankle strap
I bought this because I have a broken metatarsal. I just received it but couldn't wear it until I fixed the ankle strap, I had to cut 5.5 inches off!!! I could only do this because I sew and have a sewing machine accessible. While in theory you can adapt as is, the reality is that much length was hard to deal with, where to tuck it! I have a very average ankle but considering the amount I had to cut even if my ankle was huge it's too long! Bottom line: once I cut it, I was able to get a secure fit which is the purpose of this shoe. Seems good enough otherwise.

Good shoe for my injured foot
It's just what I needed. Not as clunky (or as expensive) as a boot, but gives me enough stability to walk and yet help my injured foot heal. It's easy to put on and adjust the straps. If I didn't have the extra padding of my foot being wrapped with an Ace bandage, plus a sock that I wear over the wrap, the shoe would be too big, but with the bandage and sock, it's just right. The one unfortunate thing is that the thickness of the sole on the shoe I'm wearing on my other foot is not quite as much. It makes my walk a little uneven, but it's manageable. Be aware that you will need to wear a shoe on your opposite foot that has a thick enough sole to be even with this shoe. That's likely to be true for any shoe or boot like this. (I ordered the medium size. I normally wear a women's size 9.)

Excellent shoe for providing pain relief & stability after Physical Therapy for a broken foot!
I broke my right foot and spent 8 weeks in a cumbersome air cast boot. Once I could discontinue the boot and started Physical therapy, I purchased this shoe for when my foot would ache as I gradually regained flexibility and strength. Replacing my sneaker with this shoe as needed during my rehab was extremely helpful. The shoe immediately eased the pressure of bearing weight on the foot, and stabilized it from bending and flexing, providing immediate pain relief. I still keep this shoe handy and use it frequently even 6 weeks after discontinuing the air cast.

Super Boot!
This was awesome for when my son was out of his larger, taller boot. He was able to finally be able to walk after being non-weight bearing for 8 weeks. Light and less cumbersome than other boots. Great price and quick delivery!!!

Velcro strap nightmare
I love this brand, use other post of shoes from them. I was looking for closed toe post op shoes/sneakers to blend in better than a huge cam boot; or easier to put on fast for a short trip from chair to restroom. BUT, I lost the Velcro strap battle around the ankle part. Literally couldn't figure it out-even with instructions , had to return
