More comfortable than the hospital one
Much more comfortable than the one the hospital gave me after abdominal surgery, and I am able to get this one on by myself, which certainly means it isn’t as tight but the hospital one was killing me!… However this stretched out significantly over the padded section, becoming more narrow so the Velcro section was too long. If I wear a thin tank under it, it’s fine.

A successful compression!
It is both gentle and firm. It does the abdominal compression exactly as I hoped.

Oops
I've been going a while with a broken rib it will not it doesn't seem to heal I bought this hoping to hold together long enough to heal The only problem I find with it is the hook and loop part that connects to the soft fabric does not distort in size The fabric part that the hook and loop connects with has shrunk because of the constant tension on it by about an inch and I have to wear a t-shirt under it because the hook and loop part digs into my skin when you pull it tight and connect it together other than that there is no problem with it I'm planning on cutting the hook and loop part and shortening it in wet shortening the width by about an inch and a half so that it doesn't overlap on the soft material where it hooks on to That's the only problem I have with it and it only took a couple of days to the rash that it caused by digging into my skin constantly while I was trying to work outside so I think that would be a remedy

Don't buy -- Velcro will dig into your skin due to fabric shrinkage!
I should have looked at the reviews with photos! What a waste of money, not to mention the discomfort and aggravation. I had surgery a few days ago and ordered this to have an extra binder (the hospital gave me one). This is the problem: The Velcro extends one-half inch on each side of the soft fabric, so when you put the binder on, you have that Velcro digging into your skin. I had to wear it because the other binder was washed and in the process of drying. I followed the washing instructions, but the soft fabric part of the binder shrunk an inch on the sides. When I went to write this review to warn others, I saw the photos of the shrunken fabric.

5 STARS!
Binders stink, but this one is so much better than the standard hospital issued binder! It is a million times softer, so no crazy itchiness. It does its job and no one should hesitate to replace theirs and also grab a replacement or two because they wash up perfectly!

Just like the one my surgeon gave me
I needed another binder after my surgery, so I could keep one washed while wearing one. This is exactly what I got from my surgeon after my tummy tuck surgery. I got one “free” (well, for the cost of a surgery!) from him. But another one was going to cost quite a bit. Was glad I found this on Amazon for a lot less.Helpful hint: Befote washing, velcro it together like it would be during use. Otherwise, it grabs onto itself and is almost impossible to pull apart.
