Q: How do I choose a size? Is it based on the ring size?

Is base on the ring size like you said. BUT size doesn't matter actually. The job is done by the strap. Is very good.

Q: Does it work on both hands? The picture is for the right.

It works for either hand or any fingers. I tore a ligament in my ring finger and used one to connect my middle and ring finger and the other to connect the ring finger with the pinky finger. Very comfortable, easy to attach and remove. It made my recovery so much better. Without it, I kept re-injuring my finger.

Q: Is this stiff like a real splint? Or flexible and allows the hand to squeeZe into a fist?

It is not stiff. Would be better if enforced with somethings tiff like heavy plastic or metal. You can squeeE your hand into a fist.

Q: I'm women small hand.what size fit me good?

Not sure I can be definite with your situation, I would not order the smallest size, mainly because using one that is slightly larger than perfect can be managed easier than getting one that is simply too small. RAE
