Very informative and educational I would recommend this book to any father going to any sort of circumstance involving custody dispute and books related to this as well you can never know enough in this situation

If your going through custody plan on having custody or foresee a custody situation and if you love your kids do yourself and your lawyer a favor pick this up and read it will save you $$$ time and heartache.

It is okay - I have been helping a friend with a divorce. This book told me a lot of what I already knew. A difficult to navigate subject - that would be really great if there was a book to actually help men with custody situations!

They say that fighting in the courts for custody can easily be the darkest days in a fathers life. It is disgusting how the courts, GAL's and other court authority figures take the easy way out and just rubber stamp a child right out of their dads life -- even in a day and age where the law clearly dictates that a father and mother are encouraged to share custody. I was in a very very dark situation in my life and I called Jeffery's office for help. The person that answered the phone was extremely helpful and compassionate. I was in tears because the GAL had just rubber stamped a horrible decision with very little investigation and I needed some help. The person booked me up to see one of the attorneys, who is a close personal friend of Mr Leving the very next day -- and I don't even live in Illinois! I booked up a meeting, paid the fee for a 60 minute meeting and the attorney I met with did not disappoint. He gave me hope. He took the hour to listen carefully, compassionately, and taught me strategy. He also referred me to a great attorney in my area that he has personally worked with in other cases.Then he gave me a copy of this book and told me to study this book.I have studied it, digested it and have been able to adjust my strategy significantly.We aren't out of the woods just yet, but having a strategy in play that has proven to work has brought me actual peace in this disgusting process.Dad's don't ever give up. The reality is that this will cost you way more than you want to pay, but we made our children with their mom and we deserve to be in their lives at least 50% of the time -- often way more than that.

Good book for someone entering a child custody case which is something i wish upon no one. Most of the advice is pretty standard but it does offer some insight to those whove never been through it.

I bought this book as reference material for an essay i was writing on father's rights and it was very helpful. I wish I would have read this book before going into my own custody battle. If anything, this book is great reading for any single father.
