Excellent pen regardless of price, exceptional value for the price
This is a really great fountain pen at any price, and an exceptional value at its price point. It feels well-constructed with a solid medium nib (other options are also available) and great ink flow. The pen feels good in the hand both by itself and with the cap posted. I'm not sure whether it is a design feature or a happy accident on my particular nib, but the tip is slightly curved forward (see photo), lining up perfectly with the centerline of the pen and giving very precise tactile feedback while writing. I cannot imagine any improvement that would make this pen better. I definitely recommend it very highlly.

Don’t let Jason Alexander use it.
This is as close to Larry’s pen in Curb’s 2009 episode The Table Read as you’ll find. The episode where Jason borrows it from Larry and proceeds to use the pen in ways it’s not meant to be used…great feel altho it is the cheapest feel to a cross I’ve ever owned. Not heavy but feels solid enough. I’d say for the price. It’s pretty pretty pretty good.

Plastic pen, not worth what they charge for it. Grocery store quality
disappointed, the pen is plastic. I expected it to be metal. Shame on Cross for making plastic pens I can buy in grocery stores. They sure know how to send their customers packing to other quality pen makers.

Great gift for a mentor/mentee
This is a beautiful pen for a very reasonable price. I bought this pen for a mentor as a "signing pen." He was very touched and appreciative; most people don't have nice pens like this anymore, in our miserable, disposable world. Anyway, if you'd like to give someone a fairly modest, inexpensive gift, this is a great choice.
