Powerful and quiet
Easy to install, powerful and quiet. It completely revolutionizes my kitchen cooking process. Combined with a powerful range hood, I could stir fry and sear like a real Chinese chef

Quality affordable
I installed this unit after grinding out.5" of stone material. The unit is powerful. The fans are audible but not in any way a problem. The wiring was simple, but do install if you're not comfortable working with electricity. The burners pulse more than other units but I've had no issues adjusting to the differences. Vert useful timer function for cooking grains, rice, boiled eggs,...etc.It beeps after completed cooking to alert of hot surfaces. One button boil function...(fast to boil)The glass seems to be durable but as always, don't drop glass on it. I've read others have broken the unit by dropping a spice jar on it.Induction cooktop require compatible magnetic pots and pans. Get a good set and stop trying to use your old ones so you don't blow the fuse and cook the board. Just sayin.Bon appetite.

Best Cooktop I've Owned with the Exception of Gas
My entire home was affected by the snowstorm of 2021. With the exception of one or two items, the kitchen was a complete loss. Although we had an electric cooktop, I knew we had gas running to our kitchen and I wanted a gas stove or stovetop. My husband completely rejected that idea so I began searching for an acceptable alternative. After in-depth research, I determined that I wanted an induction stove. I liked the idea of safety features (it only reacts to metal, can be locked in off position and more). I then researched various induction stovetops and finally determined that this was the best value for our space/budget.There is a learning curve when cooking with induction. I had to find a YouTube video to help me get started. Water boils very quickly on an induction stove. I found I also use lower settings when cooking. If I cooked something on a 7 or 8 on an electric stove, I now cook on a 4 or 5. If a pot boils over, it automatically turns off. I can use a towel to wipe spill because it won't react to my hand or the fabric although the stove is hot, then replace the pan on a lower setting. It is very easy to clean and maintain. I ensure that I follow instructions so that nothing gets cooked onto the stove.Note that not all of your pots and pans will work on this stove. Thankfully, mine were compatible. Cast iron is also compatible. My husband doesn't like that it is glass because he is afraid I will break it with a cast iron pan. I am very careful when using cast iron and make sure not to slide the pans across the glass.

Wow, what a difference!
I bought this to replace a stovetop that suddenly stopped working and had no idea about Induction heating. It was easy to install but I chickened out and hired an electrician to hook it up for me. When we attempted to turn it on the first time, nothing happened! The Electrician told us it was faulty and I should send it back.I was so disappointed because its a beautiful unit and the price was such a good deal!I sat down and read the manual that came with the unit and thats when I discovered it was not the same type of stovetop that I had before. This stovetop heats ONLY metal pans that are magnetic. It will not turn on without a metal bottomed pan on the burner.Somehow the magnetic properties transfer heat super fast into the correct type of pan and water boils in seconds! When the pan is removed from the burner, it turns off instantly. What amazes me is there is very little residual heat on the unit that was red hot seconds before! This may be my favorite appliance in my entire house now and I am so happy that I did not return it when my Electrician told me it did not work.I would buy this item again and again its amazing!!*One thing I noticed is the included manual needs to sent to a better English proofreader by the items manufacturers. There are several hilarious errors in the grammar that should have been caught before the manual was printed and distributed.*I still love this cooktop and recommend it to everyone.

Burners not true to size outlines
So ALL the burner coils of this stove are actually the same size despite the outlines on the top of the stove being different sizes. This isn’t an issue for the small burners which heat entire small pans, but for the larger burner outline on stovetop, the appropriately sized pan does not heat to the edges. Forget about pancakes. I’d return this unit except we remodeled the kitchen and never tried the stove until after the return window closed. Be use to check what actual burner coil sizes an induction stove has! Seems like a design flaw.

powerful, but only in the center of the burners, and power gradient isn't smooth
good value at the price point, need to use pots and pans that are smaller than the circles on the cooktop as the heating element seems to be centered only in the middle, so anything around the outer 1.5"-2" isn't really getting heated/cooked. Power control really jumps up from level 3 to level 4, would be great if it didn't get so powerful so fast. Does boil water very quickly.

After I got accustomed to, I really like it!
After reading comments on Amazon and elsewhere, I was a bit unsure how this would work out. But my old cooktop needed replacement parts which were not available due to its' age, and my cookware was approved for induction use, so I took a chance. After getting used to some slight differences, I love this. At the moment, I have chili simmering in a large pot. I can hear the induction coils cycling on and off, sort of a quiet buzz, but not annoying to me. Sometimes my cookware can make small noises due to the induction coil below, but not problem. So far, the glass top has proven to be scratch resistant and very easy to clean. One small issue is if a drop of water or cooking oil lands on the controls, or if you wipe a damp cloth over the controls while cooking, you might accidentally turn the appliance off. But that is really minor. Overall, getting close to a year of using this Empava, it works well, does what I need, and I would buy it again!
