I have not tried this but believe it could be used to cover books. The material can be easily cut and folded around the books, it also does not tear easily which is a bonus for that

It's been a while since I purchased it and unpacked, but I believe there was no other packaging than a layer of the very same wrap. No stickers or labels.

Q: Can I use this as a liner using wet foam in a cardboard box?

Yes, this could work for that. Just make sure you use full cuts to the desire length so you don't create overlaps that could let the water pass through. We have seen some people using this to cover their carpets or furniture while they paint their houses as well.
