Q: I can't even believe I'm asking this but any chance this works on out of control squirrels?

I'm not sure, I think it does. Five months ago, I bought a squirrel bait station for the pellets. I set it on the ground in a corner of my fenced yard. Then I used some fencing to close off the other two sides--making a pen. I filled it with Just One Bite. My little dog cannot get in the pen, and I check every day to make sure there are no crumbs or pellets outside the bait station. (I refill the station about once a week. Something is eating the bait.)I put the station out in April. It's the end of Sept and I've only seen one squirrel and one chipmunk in the last 5 months! I live in a development out in the country. My yard backs up to a dense forest. Before Just One Bite, there would be 20 or more squirrels in my yard at the same time, and chipmunks scurrying betweeb my deck and the retainer wall. The squirrels chewed up my new roof and took a 1x4" chunk out of the frame to my sliding door. They also chewed off the trim around my windows. I HATE them. I have a lovely 5ft tall stacked stone retaining wall. It cost $5,000 several years ago. During the last 2 years, the chipmunks have almost torn it down. They burrow between the large stones, pulling out smaller rocks to tunnel behind.

Q: How long does this stuff stay effective when placed around your home, does it become stale if left out too long?

I don't recommend u buy this stuff, I placed it around my house it can't find where a single pack has been touched I also put it in my back yard and the rats didn't even touch it.

Q: What is the difference between the origina, just onr bite bait bars and the just onr bite ii bait bars?

Don't know the difference all I know that what I purchased works well and cleared my garage from all rats.

Q: 3 weeks later and not 1 packet chewed, am I supposed to open? I saw droppings before but now I see droppings and mice, situation is worse in apartment

You have to open the packet by slitting down the middle lengthwise, but not to the end. If you don’t see any eaten bait after a couple of days move them to an area where the mice run ex: behind the stove near or under a sink ( they must have water) along baseboards...etc. I hope this helps!
