Q: have taken a chance and ordered this for a lady with bad eyesight hope you dont have to have the voice on ?

Dear ValThe watch you have ordered has a sleep mode which turns the voice off. If you press in and hold the top right hand button until you hear a "dit" sound, this turns off the voice. You can do the same proceedure to re-activate the voice if needed.Regards.Bindy

Good Afternoon W18 Volume Control Instructions Below VOLUME CONTROL: This watch has a high and low volume setting; to change between high and low volume press the Time button (top right) once and then press and hold the Hourly report button (bottom right) for 5 seconds. The watch will then announce if it is has changed too either low volume or High volume. Kind regards Paula
