Q: Is this product safe for hardwood or laminate floors? (I.e., if I am spraying counter surfaces and furniture and excess lands on the floor)

Q: What type of sprayer to use?

Any plastic sprayer bottle will work. We use a 32oz sprayer.

Q: How many square feet will 5 gallons cover?

The manufacturers suggested coverage rate is 100 sq. ft. per gallon. 5 gallons should cover 500 sq ft

Q: would this work on wood/lumber that is porus (ie. basement)?

First Defense Disinfectant is effective against odor-causing bacteria and fungi (in water damager restoration situations) on semi-porous and porous materials including carpets, carpet cushion, sub floors, drywall, trim and frame lumber.
