Q: do these bags have the bonus code on them?

Not that I know of but I wasn't looking for it. Already threw empty bag away. Beans are as good and fresh as if bought at retail store.

Q: what type is the coffee beans ?

Whole bean, not water purified. When opened the coffee was very fresh had a great coffee aroma, french roast is a nice bold coffee I followed instructions on pkg.

Q: Has anyone solved the static charge issue when grinding these particular coffee beans?

If you add a couple of drops (and that's all you need) of water to the beans, there will be no more static issues when grinding. Literally 2 drops of water will solve the problem. And that little amount won't affect the flowability of the ground coffee when finished grinding.
