QTP 10900 Wireless Adjustable Remote Controller for QTP Electric Exhaust Cutouts

I was able to install and even connect to home link rear view mirror buttons on my BMW f3x but if it was one touch to open and close it would be much better, having to hold til fully open and close will eventually cause the cheaply designed qtp cut out to fail. If it was able to open with one touch and close with one touch it would work much better.

The media could not be loaded. I purchased this product for the QTP 530011 exhaust cutout system I purchased at the same time for my *12 Dodge Charger R/T R&TI mainly purchased the QTP Wireless Remote Controllers for, besides providing two remote controls, it also gives you the ability to connect the remote unit to the garage door opening buttons I have installed in the roof consul in my Dodge Charger. So no more having to fumble around for the remote control when I want to open them up, or close them down. Simply press button #1 to open, and button #2 to close themGranted. The video I uploaded is not the greatest. But it does at least give you an idea of how good the cutouts make your vehicle sound when installed

First off, this is my second QTP remote. My first one stopped working after my car was broken into and the FOBs were stolen. I contacted QTP and they sent me two new free remotes but the expectation was the chances they would work with the RF receiver in the module was slim. QTP was right and the replacement FOBs didn't work.So I bought a new remote module, it arrived quickly. I installed it, tested it with no issue. It opened and closed the cutouts like a pro! The downside was after cleaning up and backing my car out of the garage it wouldn't work again. I spent a few hours troubleshooting but couldn't figure out why it stopped working. I uninstalled the remote module. Two weeks later I tried again. Install went smooth, I tested it after install and it opened and closed my cutouts, once. I turned the car off after the first test and immediately restarted it to test again, which sadly didn't work. I spent a couple more hours trying to figure out why the module only works once before stopping. I left it installed for a week and tried opening the cutouts daily but it never worked. I ended up installing a manual switch and just gave up on the remote module.TL:DR QTP makes great cutouts and have amazing customer service but their remote modules seem flakey. I opened up the remote and it's a simple set of relays and a cheap 400mhz receiver. The solder job on the board looked bad, like a newbie did it, definitely soldered by hand vs a machine.

Already had the cutout and wires ran to the fenderwell. Product arrived as described and I already made an interconnect cable for the power supply.Installation was a 2 minute job and works as expected.I've done another similar car this way and the receiver is mounted in a somewhat dry location on a garage kept car that will not be driven in bad weather.My only complaint would be the battery in the fobs... one was dead, so I'll be off to pick some up in the morning.

I don't really have any negatives about this product after having used them a couple of months so let me list the reasons why you should buy this:1) No cutting a hole in your car for a switch.2) Less wiring to do/pay to have done. I paid someone to do it and it was wired right into my fuse panel power so you can't see anything anywhere. The cost to wire a switch in the console was nearly as much as the cost of this unit.3) In addition to having nearly no net cost to the price of the project altogether, these things are COOL! I love looking at the expression on people's face when I show them the remote and tell them and show them what it does.If I do have a complaint at all, they were shipped with nearly dead batteries because the one I was using died after a few days but that really has no effect on my overall positive experience with this product and this vendor (that's another story, but let it suffice to say they were great to work with).

They work fantastic. I did not realize before I purchased. But, there are two option with the remote you purchase. The black set allows you to open to your desired volume. Whereas the red set is only open or closed. Good to know. But, they work fantastic

Maybe I didn't read enough in to this, but you can't use these if you are currently using the switch. It's one or the other. If you have the switch installed you'll have a useless switch if you want these to work. Stick with the switch unless you're honestly wanting to fumble with your keys in your pocket, in your ignition, or in your center consul. Unless you are trying to make a video by yourself behind your car for the idle difference or wanting someone else to drive your car while you drive next to it and remotely change the exhaust on them it doesn't make sense. Sorry for the rediculous scenarios, but that's the only use for this I see.

Installed controller. Worked great and is so Convenient and simple to use would recommend anyone with the cut outs to buy this
