This phone is a very good value!!
Great amazing updated phone for me. I came from a Samsung S7 active when it first released. I beat that phone up for the last few years from work and I think it was time for retirement. Though this phone is not drop rated like the active, I can say as long as I don't drop this off the roof like with the active I had. I think it will be fine. Active is still physically fine just need something that isn't as slow as the active is now with simple uses. Did a lot of research on phones. Came across many potential phones but was recommended from a close freind with a OnePlus 6t. He told me to go with the 7T being oneplus's flagship currently. I just needed a phone that isn't held up by the 2gb the S7 active had in Dec of 2019. This phone has 4x the ram. Did research and came across the 7 but not sold instores in the states. I am very impressed how far phones have gone since my Active S7. Watch reviews on OnePlus phones and the factory walk through. I think they are the best value to performance compared to the big 2 currently in the States. At first I thought the phone was defective due to unlocking when ever I picked it up. Didn't realize that my face unlock options was active. How responsive the face recognition is. I had set it up but thought I deactivated that feature. The face recognition is amazingly fast during almost all types of lighting. Has hard time when the auto dim on and the screen backlight is almost at it's lowest setting maybe around 10-15%. Then I use the finger print access then but that's usually middle of the night when I check for time etc etc. The face unlock can recognize me with or without glasses and hats on. Impressive if you ask me. Finger print scanner though is a bit rougher. Sometimes need multiple tries or the number pad unlock. It pars kind of with my Samsung active S7 finger print sensor. I use two profiles for a single finger to provide that much more finger prints for the phone to detect. Phone is snappy. Camera in pro mode can utilize the 48MP. Though the non pro mode captures amazing photos. 4k60 video recording is also amazing. If you know the difference between 24,30,60,120,144hz/fps then you will notice the 4k60 recordings. Comes with pre applied screen protector and a case. The screen protector is plastic and is already pealing on one side but the pealing has stopped. It's no bigger than a1/16in. The screen protector shows no signs of scuffs since sometimes it shares same pocket with keys. I may replace the screen protector with tempered glass but it's doing its job as we speak. The case does not provide the most protection but doesn't make the phone feel bulky either. Surprisly as smooth as it is, the case grips better than an aftermarket case I bought on Amazon that was designed for grip. The case though does get greasy or that oily feel. Comes with dash charging wall adapter and a heafty type C USB cable. Charges fast in my opinion. Within 30 mins I can charge just about to 80-90% from 20%. You get all this in a $420 phone. I wasn't looking for the best of the best but something updated. Nor do I need the best of the best. I really feel I got more than I expected. This phone and company is worth the value compared to apple and Samsung.

Brand phones killer. 5 star phone
This is truly a killer phone. Free screen protector, free case, blah blah blah, these are pale gimmicks compared to what is actually inside the phone. The fingerprint scanner is top of the scale compared to the best on the shelf. The face recognition is THE fastest I have experienced and I must say I have used a Samsung and I phone before. I am blown away by the touch screen even with the screen protector, the response time is something to brag about. I wouldn't give it a 5 for the camera compared to Samsung for clarity and quality and the shoot commands, and wouldn't compare it to the I phone for the special apps used to enhance the fun put in place to give a good camera experience, but I would certainly give it a 4* because it is a great improvement from its one plus 3T or 5 models..I love the speed of opening apps as good as Samsung, and for a 256 gig memory I would definitely not feel slighted holding one in public. The feel of the phone is awesome, the weight is not a burden. I can be on the phone for 2 hours and not have hand fatigue. I have to mention the charging and the battery life, and I say it with pride and confidence that I am extremely happy that I can get a full charge in 90 minutes or less and it will last for at least 3 days with the blue tooth and location on all the time. I will happily give it a 5 star for the quality and performance. I will add another one star for the price and value for money.

So Far So Good
I have only had it for a day so far, but the phone has been running smoothly. As the listing states it is the China model of the phone but the setup is in English. The setup process went smoothly, bringing over my Google Account info and then using the OnePlus Switch app to bring over media files from my Pixel 2. I then downloaded the Oxygen Updater app from the Play Store to get the Android 10 update. I would assume that the Android 10 update will be available OTA sooner than later, but I didn't want to wait and went through the app instead. Regardless it's good to know that OnePlus has an Android 10 update ready to go.In the box there is a clear case, the dash charger, USB-C cable and some documentation. With this being the China model, all the documentation was in Chinese but thankfully none of it is needed to get the phone up and running. Put in my SIM and it just worked without hassle. I have service from Mint Mobile here in the U.S. and it has been good so far. Mint uses T-Mobile towers and the Signal Spy app shows the phone connecting to Bands 2,4 and 12. Download speeds vary for me, from 30 Mbps going up to 70 Mbps when I am in the city.Hardware wise the phone is great but I am definitely going to keep it in the case. There is a heft to it but I can imagine the front and back shattering if it ever hit the ground. The display (which has a pre-applied screen protector) is great, much better than my Pixel 2. Colors are vibrant. Having a button to switch between ring, vibrate and silent is a nice touch. No headphone jack unfortunately and no wireless charging. The included Dash charger works well. The only downside to the phone so far is the in-display fingerprint sensor. I'd say it's 7/10 when it comes to how often it works. I have not used the face recognition for signing in so I can't speak to how well that works. So far I'm glad I bought this phone. Great hardware and the software is easy to update. Oxygen OS does have it's own touches which some are nice, such as the themes, gestures and timely updates. As someone coming from a Pixel phone, it's weird to see OnePlus' own versions of apps such as Contacts and Messages next to the Google versions I am used to having. I was weary of buying this phone but so far it is turning out to be a good buy. For about $450 with tax, I am getting a phone with great build, display and software that runs just fine on T-Mobile towers. It's a very good value compared to the Samsung Galaxies, Google Pixels and iPhones out there. Sure, it's not going to have the camera quality, the wireless charging or the IP water resistance ratings of those phones, but it doesn't come with the price tag of those either. If you are looking for a good value and have service from AT&T, T-Mobile or one of their respective MVNO's, you really can't go wrong with the OnePlus 7.
