Q: Are they packaged well to prevent breakage?

I live in Hawaii (the most greatest distance away from Israel) and there was no breakage.

I ordered last year and received new 2018 matzoh. It seems highly likely that this year they will be sending 2019 matzoh. Year old matzoh is best to not be used for Pesach, but can be eaten other times of the year according to Ashkenazi tradition. Always best, however to check with your local Rav. If you don't have a local Rav, find a Chabad near you and they will help.
